Aero GPX
Aero GPX is an anti-gravity racer that is focused on high velocity, flight, machine-to-machine combat, and responsive controls that are simple to pick up but difficult to master. There are 30 machines on the circuit for each race in Aero GPX; and the race ends with significantly less than that. Pilots fight for the best position possible with high speeds, risky maneuvers, and visceral attacks. While Aero GPX is inspired by classics in the genre, it also has a few twists of its own to feel like a new experience with hints of nostalgia.
Core Gameplay
The Core Gameplay of Aero GPX is best described by touching upon a few of its most important aspects:
Responsive Handling and Controls
Aero GPX aims to be one of the most responsive racing experiences you’ve ever played; responding instantly to your input and reacting accordingly. Instead of feeling like you’re driving the machine, Aero GPX aims to give the you the feeling of controlling the machine as if it were a character in an action game.
Machine-to-Machine Combat
There is only one weapon in Aero GPX; your machine. Slam Attack and Spin Attack to disrupt or destroy your opponents before they do the same to you. But always remember that your attacks have an important consequence: the health and integrity of your own machine is at stake.
Flight
Aero GPX has a big trick up its sleeve; flying at high speeds through Airborne Slipstreams. Machines can use a deadly homing attack in order to reliably attack an opponent, creatively maneuver to dodge obstacles, or take big risks “Drill Diving” in and out of them in order to build the most amount of speed possible!
Merciless AI Opponents
Your fellow Pilots on the track are numerous and vicious. Displaying many different personality traits, they have ways of expressing themselves on the track that mostly result in getting to the finish line before you. Fight back if you dare.
Anti-Gravity and Obstacles
Aero GPX features a complex physics system that allows for machines to drive on any surface in any orientation in 3D space. Tracks will also feature many jumps, challenges, and obstacles to keep pilots on their toes and always experiencing something new!

The best 'Fzero' game period since GX. This not only 1000% perfectly captures the adrenaline of FZERO, and feels even better to control than X, but it has incredible track progression, cool character art, and awesome new ideas to give it it's own identity. If Fzero never comes back, Aero GPX will leave it in the dust and never look back. The only thing I want to see is more music tracks, cause what exists slaps, but theres only so many in the game. Can't wait to see 1.0. Keep it up dev, you're keeping the spirit of Fzero not only alive, but burning with a new fire.

It's never not fun playing this. The gameplay feels closer to F-Zero X than GX, which is okay even though I personally like GX more than X. That also means sliding is as broken as it was in X, but also feels like it's outright required in certain tracks. Overall, super enjoyable.

Your putting a tear in this old man's eye. I been playing F-Zero since SNES the N64 and Gamecube is still the best. Great gameplay and control. My gripe is its way too forgiving. If you fall off the track you are placed right back on it no restart track. What makes fast future racing is it a life and death no in between, if you mess up your dead period. At least put a restart track after death in the options menu. Great job and keep up the work.

To put it simply, this is best racing game I've ever played. This is the only anti-gravity racing game I've played that actually makes an effort to expand upon the existing mechanics of a game like FZero GX instead of just being a direct clone with no new ideas. This game goes above and beyond to provide a very thrilling racing experience. Instead of just drifting and boosting, you are given access to a wide variety of moves that allow you to personalize your gameplay. The drill dive, hyper slide, and other mechanics allow you to reach unreasonable levels of speed, and the course design actively encourages you to do some really funny and unhinged stuff. Everything feels super responsive in this game and playing it just feels perfect. Insane gameplay, great soundtrack, and some pretty solid character and course designs. I can't wait to see the finished product. This game is the best of it's kind and definitely worth your time if it looks fun to you at all.
Also, a lot of people complain about HP and boost being separate bars. It does not make the game easier in any way and a lot of the more difficult courses in the game would be literally impossible without this change, especially with the final burn mechanic. I don't really understand why you would complain about this unless you're mad about this game not being a direct clone of GX.

Played F-Zero on N64 as a kid. Lamented that there were fewer and fewer games in the genre over the past few decades. Now, this glorious return will carry me through the next few decades, and I am beyond stoked. This game rules.

Looking for a new F-Zero? Aero GPX is pretty much "F-Zero GX" lite, as in a very similar if a little less polished game that will make you feel right at home if you spend at least a few hours on GX, and it seems easier too (so far, I haven't encountered anything remotely close to that dreaded "Master" difficulty of GX).
I am currently working my way through the solo missions, and my opinion on the game is: it looks good, controls very well (but beware of walls on the inside of corners, they will slow you down like crazy) and is a very good time so far. Perfectly scratches my "futuristic racing" itch!

This game is the perfect blend between X and GX. You can tell the developers are passionate. Highly recommend this game
