Jamboy, a Jelly-cious Hero
Jamboy and Billy need to get out of a giant’s belly, who’s swallowed them! Explore a world infested with guts and bones, while defeating dangerous food monsters and finding a way out of this fleshy laberynth! This silly action-platformer will unravel a story filled with absurd comedy, crazy twists and ridiculous situations that will have you on the edge of your seat!
Jamboy and Billy find themselves on the run from a Donut police officer!
They share a brief moment of conversation about their past mistakes, before being swallowed by Damien, some giant dude who just happened to stand there. What are the chances?? Pay attention when driving, kids!
After that, Jamboy will have to explore the insides of a giant’s guts. Laberynthis hallways filled with dangerous food monsters await him. Getting in might have been easy, but leaving this meatcave will be quite the challenge! Billy will leave voice notes along the way for Jamboy to pickup, so he can keep up with his perspective and all the juicy lore!!
Easy peasy! Perfect for your grandma, if you get her this game for her birhday…Unless your grandma is a pro gamer…then go with Buffet Mode.
Only for the toughest jams! Your potentially pro gamer grandma will really enjoy this mode!
Race against other jams to prove who is the fastest food alive! You will be able to brag to all your non-existing friends about your expert Jamboy-speedrunning skills!
The ultimate challenge, WARNING: Do not attempt this mode, unless you have an excessively concerning amount of spare time!!
Jamboy is just a nice jam-dude. He doesn’t speak much, so most things we know about him are through his actions. He seems to be a bit of a pushover, as his pal Billy always easily convinces him to take part in his mischievous plans. Maybe he agrees with his plans…or maybe he’s just to shy to say no. Will he learn to draw the line at some point?
Billy is quite the rebel. In his youth, he always did the opposite of what he was told. He likes to steal stuff and run away from the police…or at least that’s what his hobbies seem to be according to his dating-profile description, maybe he’s just trying to sound tough. He’s also quite the manipulative bastard, he always blackmails his best friend Jamboy into participating in his twisted plans. Overall, not the most pleasent fella, but he grows on you.

In a time where the Video Game Industry reigns supreme above all other arts in both scale and revenue, it seems like we barely get true indies anymore.
And I'm not talking about masterpieces like the recently released Silksong, with its infinite funding and years upon years of developing; I'm talking about the true indie gems, the small-scale miracles conjured by only a few, up-and-coming minds.
Thankfully, we just got Jamboy for us to add to that list.
This is such a charming game all around; it's difficult to take your eyes off of it.
For starters, you get the banger art style, which is not only unique and great to look at, it's also super cohesive and gives the whole a thrilling vision. It really looks complete and rock solid, without a single sprite or texture looking like it came from somewhere else, which is even more impressive when you consider the sheer amount of stuff happening everywhere on the screen.
Every mob, terrain, platform, background, midground, decoration, item... Every single thing in this game is perfectly tuned in synergy with the rest, creating vibrant scenarios with an impressive amount of detail.
There's really not an empty or boring spot to look at in here!
The gameplay itself is also great; the controls feel smooth and after playing for five minutes, I got the hang of it with no problems.
And you really need the controls to be smooth when the challenge is up to this level.
Don't get me wrong, this ain't no bullet hell or anything like that, and I myself have completed Cuphead a couple of times; but the developers undeniably had the goal of creating a robust challenge, without ever going overboard and making it unfair.
The maps are complex and a bit difficult to comprehend at first, and the enemies can feel a bit overwhelming at times (especially if you are about to complete a mission and those f***ing bats appear out of the blue to kill you lmao). But there's no point at which I felt like the levels were unfair, with a few tries you can get the hang of every mechanic, and completing it all is truly satisfying.
Overall, this is the perfect game for anyone looking for a challenging platformer with a lot of charm. If you are tired of AAA games that underdeliver despite their $90 price tags and want something tinnier and cuter than your typical indie with a millionaire budget, Jamboy is just the game for you!

Jamboy is a 2d platformer inspired by games like Rayman (1995). It's not easy, not extremely hard, but punishes the player with a good old ' Game Over' if you lose all your lives, so be ready to repeat a level a few times 'till you master the mechanics of the game. If you like this kind of humour and mechanics, it may be your jam! (pun intended).
Also:
- Art stands out with the unique cartoon style.
- I've missed a few art/audio feedback for certain areas/traps of the game, but nothing huge.
- You can really appreciate the passion of the developer on this one!

I need to leave my review as everyone is mentioning the Rayman style and so, but if I had to mention one game that Jamboy reminds me of it would be Earthworm Jim.
Gross, Fun and Difficult, I'm loving (suffering) each level of this game and, although it seems to be short, I needed a couple hours just to reach the first checkpoint (after level 2), so I guess I can expect a lot of gameplay for just a couple bucks.
I'm loving it so far!

This game is pure madness but in the best way. The hand-drawn animation looks awesome, super colorful and with a quirky style that hooks you right away. It really feels like playing inside a living cartoon, and you can’t help but smile at all the silly stuff happening.
On top of that, it’s just really fun to play: easy to pick up, but with some solid challenges if you go for the hard mode. It’s not your typical serious platformer, this one is all about absurd humor and ridiculous situations that make it stand out. If you want to have a good time and laugh while jumping and smashing things, this is your game.

NIce, simple and pretty fun! Feels good to see platformers like these from time to time, I think it's worth the shot given the price. My kudos to the developers!

Fun little game that definitely didn’t make me wanna find the flying meatball enemies irl and kill them and their families.
Platforming is a bit wonky and some levels can become a little annoying at times, but overall some fun times, will def come back soon to finish 100%

The game is amazing. It's a 2D platformer with super fun, fast-paced gameplay; it never gets boring. The controls are smooth, and the levels are incredibly well-crafted. It's a real hook.
