Paulette Williams, age 62, has been killed. There are only two possible suspects. In this real-time, police interrogation experience, you take on the role of the lead detective in the observation room. You must guide your partner to uncover the truth. Through the use of real-time suspect interviews, video playback, case files, and your own wits, you must make critical decisions that will shape the course of this investigation.
FEATURES
- Watch real-time FMV police interviews of suspects.
- Carefully observe each suspect to gain valuable insight.
- Replay and review interview files as needed.
- Make key decisions that guide the interrogation process.
- Justice lies in your hands. Should an arrest be made? If so, who do you charge?
- Replay to unlock multiple endings and alternate interview clips.
- Play in either Standard or VR mode.

This game is much shorter and limited compared to the new one. I wish I had played it first. This case is about an elderly murder, a woman named Paulette, and the prime suspects are her daughter, Samanth, and her husband, Elliot. Both of them are caretakers of the woman who died, along with a male nurse. Read the reports, write down notes, watch how they are reacting to questions, and give hints and decisions to your friend who is interrogating them.
The gameplay is straightforward; you watch a set of videos (Interviews) and proceed based on your decisions. There are multiple endings, but only one true ending if you get all the facts right.
The in-game notepad and whiteboard are helpful, especially if you like streaming games and keeping your viewers engaged. The only background music comes from the music player on the table; you can switch it on or off. The acting wasn't the best in this one; I found the female actress less convincing than the male actor.
Pros:
+Ok story.
+Murder mystery.
+Detective style of reading notes.
+Multiple endings.
+Steam achievements.
Cons:
-You are only in one room doing everything from there.
-Midcore acting.
Since this one is their first game in the series, I'm going to give it a neutral rating, not the best, but a good start. I prefer their newer game.
