The Glitch Fairy
The Glitch Fairy is a fast action platformer starring Monie, a spunky fairy with the unusual power to ”glitch” her enemies.
Story
Our story begins when Monie gets her flying ability stolen by her arch nemesis, the minigun-wielding Princess ”Badassia” Spalanie.
Fortunately for our little fairy, she discovers a shrine that grants her a new magical power; The Glitch Beam, a powerful reality-bending tool that turns her enemies into all sorts of fun and useful things.
Now flightless, but stronger than ever, Monie embarks on a quest to confront her old rival and get her flying ability back!
Gameplay
The core gameplay of The Glitch Fairy focuses on jumping, shooting, dashing, and glitching. The Glitch Beam can be used as a speedrunning tool, or as a way to explore every nook and cranny each level has to offer.
Glitching different enemies will lead to different results! Spawning black holes, turning your magic blasts into flying swords, making you run like a 50s cartoon, creating a ghost platform, spawning healing items, giving you a harpoon gun, you name it!

A very charming and cute platformer with the protag having the power of glitching enemies. The control feel good it make you want to keep spinning and bouncing through the levels.
The glitch power make you see the enemies as a tool for reaching the collectibles scattered around the level. And it range from transforming the enemies into harmless and helpful version to converting their powers into your.
The story itself is great and have a good moral behind it. But if you go for 100% you'll realise the game also have a VERY DEEP lore in this universe that isn't easy to understand. With bit of hints everywhere. I'm no kidding, they're a lot of work put into the story and lore it's worth to invest. The NPC did make me want to know more about the world!
The game was a very pleasant surprise and I strongly recommend to all platformers lover!

Glitch Fairy is a game that when I first saw it I didn't think too much of. I thought it was a cute looking game but didn't really think it would be anything special. I was so wrong!
Glitch fairy really is a labor of love, and while the game itself can be a bit frustrating at time and somewhat annoying it's so satisfying to play. Once you get good at dodging and weaving along with blasting it can feel good as you watch yourself getting better and better at the game
And the story is just as fun, it's such an interesting world. The art and journals really do go a long way of drawing you into the story along with the world.
Cannon cow has really made something special hear and I genuinely can't wait to see what they do next!

Pure absolute passion gaming, incredible stuff.
Very nice mix of conventional platforming and puzzle solving for secrets. Game is also designed in a way that is very accessible while also offering ample challenge for those who care. Fun writing and adorable animations. Still nowhere close to done the game but the charm won me over almost instantly. The best game I've played this year.

I may have forgotten to write a review here but never late than never I say! But I do want to give my first thoughts before playing the game thinking there isn't much to the game and it's just a casual chill platformed. Also the fact that I wasn't really a big mega man fan for it's slow movement game play. But, after playing the game from streaming it 100%, man I was so so wrong about my first thoughts on the game!
This game is REALLY good and I do really love many things about the game! The fast movement is super good, the challenge is great and the character's are really well written! Really makes me enjoy all of the character's while playing through the game and hearing all of their lore and story for each of them. Even the character's who don't have a lot of screen time to them I still really do love how they look and written like the Queen Bee for example.
The animation for the game is just flat out amazing for each of the sprite. So much details were put into each of the frames it's great and it just makes me happy when I notice a small little cute detail. Oh man the detail for this game is so good! Really love how each of the character's would have a reaction to Monie in some way or another and the glitch effects are really great as well! All of them being unique to one another!
Can't forget about the fun equipable items as well. Each having their own purpose to use and does give you some customizability to mix and match each equipable you get! I can say I did mainly use the speed shoes during my two 100% runs of the game but all of them do serve their own purpose. Ofcourse looking cute as ever!
But yes, All I can say is really do try this game out. Even if you aren't a fan of a megaman style gameplay. Can say from a guy who isn't a a megaman fan and doesn't really like playing megaman games. I find this one really damn enjoyable. Damn good job to the team who made this game and will for sure be excited to play your future games and see this world you guys created expand more for it's amazing lore!

A very good game, the artstyle is pretty, the characters are actually funny and memorable, gameplay is solid, plot is interesting, music is nice to the ears and overall just a very fun game to play. The lack of visual cues on a couple of bosses make them slightly frustrating to fight, but it doesn't really ruin the game experience overall.
Easy 8/10 right there, a very solid and passionate game!

I've only done the first 2 (story) levels, and already I can tell this is going to be a great game.
The sheer amount of creativity on display in the levels is honestly great to see, along with having a quaint art style that takes me back to the olden days of flash games. Also, you get to fight a giant maple syrup jar, so easy recommendation from that alone!
