A Message to Returning Players
Lovely Planet Remix extends the original game with a variety of drastic variations that impose restrictions like no mid-air control, no jumping, slower movement & bullet drop among others in the vein of older retro shooters with non-standard control schemes, some of which are designed intentionally to be unwieldy, cumbersome and annoying to play by modern standards. Please try the demo to sample the different styles before purchasing the game.

It's more Lovely Planet which is already enough to recommend it. However, this time it comes with a bunch of different gameplay styles like no-shooting-when-in-the-air or a noodle gun and all of them do their job - most of them are just fun, jelly mode isn't exactly fun but it does a good job of offering a challenge. Overall, it's the best and most polished (and most difficult) game in the series and for 10$ it's a steal.

One of the better purchases I have made in a while. Certainly worth the asking price.
"Lovely Planet Remix" adds a bit of a spin to the regular "Lovely Planet" experience by adding multiple different game modes which come with changes to the shooting and movement mechanics. Nothing feels out of place though. The entire game screams "Lovely Planet" and it's basically just an upgraded and expanded experience of the original. It carries a very polished feel.
I especially am a fan of the in-game leaderboards which got a MASSIVE upgrade by adding a replay system! You can just open the leaderboard and then look at how anybody with a fast time went through the level, easily helping you beat your target time.
You might need that help considering some of the modes require a fair bit of practice to get the hang of (looking at you Jelly). But after having played for a bit, I enjoyed the extremes even more than the regular experience (which is already great). If I want to challenge myself I play something a bit harder, but if I want to relax I have that choice as well.
It even gives you an incentive of getting good at one particular playstyle, by giving you a leaderboard for entire playlists. Playlists are usually around 12 levels of a particular game mode, with the later playlists being more challenging.
The game has a polished feel and offers gameplay mostly for people who like a bit of a challenge. Trying to improve your own times enables almost unlimited replayability to competitive players. But it also offers a nice variety of different playstyles, which could help you with future purchases, after you know what mode you had the most fun with. And for the explorers out there: It got secrets. A lot of them.
P.S.: This game has an absolutely fantastic soundtrack. As good as the gameplay is, the soundtrack is probably even better. I really encourage picking this game up. One of my favorites.

Great fps with a lot of variation in mechanics. including some stuff I've never seen before. High recommend especially if you've played the other games in the series, this is like an evolution of the same gameplay.

Overall Score: 8/10
Solid, cartoon fps game that has a simple requirement of killing all the enemies, and getting to the end. Quite cool how this game expands on the previous games with new modes and mechanics to figure out and optimize. I would recommend this game to pretty much any fps fan, especially for it only being 5 dollars. Keep in mind though that there are a few worlds where execution is quite high like tunnels or jelly, and it might turn casuals off. Also if you care about 100% the secrets are a bit grindy.

Another installment of the Lovely Planet series. Just like the other games this one looks all fun and casual at first. Until it gets excruciatingly difficult. This cutesy little game will challenge your first-person gaming skill and push you to your limits. It's still entirely doable though.

don't listen to the negative reviews. if you're looking for fun competition between friends, this is the game. if you're looking for fun competition with strangers, this is still the perfect game. it offers so many creative modes and mechanics that, while some may not be for everyone, there is certainly something for everyone.

Absolutely fantastic. Every mode is fun as heck, even the ones that are supposed to be annoying and "unfair". Level design tops the other games in the franchise, making even the most tricky parts of the levels consistent and satisfying to beat with clever movement and timing.
