Don’t Forget Our Esports Dream
Don’t Forget Our Esports Dream is a narrative game about the South Korean esports scene. Play as Bolt, a professional StarCraft: Brood War player at a flashpoint in his career.
The next chapter
Meet a cast of characters including fellow esports pros, international competitors, and StarCraft fans as Bolt tries to find his place within the world of esports in South Korea. Behind the backdrop of esports team houses, PC Bangs, and overseas tournaments, new interactive StarCraft sequences and Glossary/Codex features expand upon the storytelling in this installment of the esports visual novel.
Play like a pro
Don’t Forget Our Esports Dream guides players through interactive StarCraft scenes that highlight actual actions players would take when competing. The game also measures APM (actions per minute) similar to StarCraft, so players can see if they can stack up against the best. The experience scales for all skill levels, no previous experience in StarCraft required.
Expanded dialog system
Interact with the cast through the Star Sense dialog system, which allows you to present terms collected through the Codex. Presenting these terms unlocks player motivations and additional story around the world of esports.

Too bad there's no such thing as "neutral reviews" on steam. Cuz unfortunately this VN is not as exciting as its predecessor. Although it offers some cool new features like QTE (in a visual novel, goddammit!) or the "star sense" dialog system, its plot and characters fall way back compared to those in SC2VN.
First of all, I was looking forward to a sequel... but it turned out to be a PREQUEL! And I had to guess it by myself after approximately an hour of gameplay while this fact is nowhere to be stated in the description. It only says "The next chapter" - how can you not think about a sequel???
At first the plot was pretty good and intriguing. Alas, after a couple of hours it started to become a drag. The new characters just aren't good enough. It's sure nice to see Jett again, but even Bolt's story is pretty boring, while his mentor - Lock - is almost an empty character. Bolt's admiration and fear of him feels somewhat unnatural - like it's there only cuz the plot says so. "I miss the old roster with Stunt and Reva" - that's what I kept thinking while hoping to finish the game soon.
Anyway, the game's not too bad. The gameplay and visuals are top notch. It's just the fact that I've been dying of boredom while forcing myself to play through the first half (which was tedious as fuck!) that bothers me. The second half is sure better as it offers at least some excitement. Although the whole first game was breathtaking.
So if you still haven't played the SC2VN, then go ahead and do it instead of trying to dive into this "next-chapter-prequel". But if you've already done it and still want to give this one a try - just don't expect much.

A must play for every Esports fan! Story is engaging and the QTEs are a fun touch.

For individuals who were super into eSports when the scene was beginning to truly bloom, this will be a trip down the memory path. For those who weren't, you may have a awesome "entrance" to see how things were back at that point. As distant as I can tell, typically a lovely exact portrayal of that environment and the sorts of stories that developed at that point. On the off chance that you're into StarCraft, I think playing this is often a must from an instructive point of see; it truly is super curiously.

This is a great game for StarCraft fans but will probably appeal to anyone with an interest in visual novels and esports. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the writing. The game strikes are great balance between an interesting plot, character moments and a view into esports history. It's also quite funny playing SC2VN (the original game this is a prequel to) if you play this one first. Also lol @ the dig against protoss players in the achievements I see you writers.
