Limita Luminii
Limita Luminii este primul joc VR românesc cu conținut în limba română, cu o poveste localizată și relevantă cultural. O experiență artistică în VR – inedită prin apropierea artelor unanim recunoscute (high-art) și artele noilor medii (gaming).
Marcat în copilărie de trauma Primului Război Mondial, un pictor român trăiește în 1939 panica începerii unei noi tragedii, clacând treptat și evadând în spațiul abstract al propriei arte.
Vizitează un colț de mahala din Bucureștiul interbelic, explorând un univers inspirat din documente și mărturisiri istorice ale perioadei, care integrează în poveste evenimente reale: atacul Bucureștiului în primul război mondial cu zepeline, recrutarea artiștilor plastici pe front în divizii de propagandă, etc. Descoperă scenografia narativă construită vizual realist, navigând printr-un sistem nou de locomoție in VR – în acord cu povestea personajului principal rănit la picior – cu ajutorul unui baston.
În joc se regăsesc lucrări de artă reale ale perioadei interbelice, curatoriate de Muzeul de Arta Recentă – MARe din colecția proprie și colecția Cristinel Popa, alături de lucrări originale pictate de artistul Lucian Sandu-Milea.
Acum ai ocazia de a testa în avanpremieră primul joc VR românesc cu conținut în limba română, “Limita Luminii”, ce va fi lansat oficial în curând.
Proiectul este susținut și co-finanțat de Administrația Fondului Cultural Național (AFCN).

'Limita Luminii’ is an interactive tour of some famous Romanian painters home who they never really mention anywhere. All the narration in the app is Romanian, so I couldn’t tell what they were saying, but what I can comment on is the quality of the render of the artists home and it is impressive, to say the least. Sadly almost nothing is interactive other than your walking stick to get about and a few story trigger points that are once again all in Romanian. I wish there were English subtitles at the very least so I could understand it better. But it is worth a look for sure especially if you like art (because it is free anyway) and if you can work out who the artist is do let me know.

Limita Luminii is an Early Access free VR experience in Romanian language only. It worked on my HTC Vive system with RTX 2070 Super GPU, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was not understandable. The recommended GPU for this software is RTX 2080ti or better. So i had problems with FPS and suffered through bad head movement lag.
- Update 10 July 2024, built new computer with RTX 4070 TI Super and Ryzen 7 7800x3D, this program looks a lot better on it. No head lag at all. Index and HTC Vive worked.
The narrator is speaking Romanian. The VR movement is dragging you around with the cane by your side, use it just like a real cane. The setting of the map is around 1939, in Bucharest, Romania. Has real paintings from that time period and location.
Try this only, if you understand Romanian language and you are interest in Art History, and have RTX 2080 ti or better.

Before I played Limita Luminii, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good

One of those gorgeous VR artsy exploratory experiences with fantastic graphics. Alot of the objects are photogrammetric. It was all in a different language, which is good, so I didn't have to do anything except explore. Lovely. There's a chance I played this before it came out on Steam, it rang a bell.
