It is pretty forgiving with what you type to guess. It's a mix of figuring out segments of an object to guess and finding missing pieces of a crowded picture.

(my friend gifted me this game)
Picture this,
you are sitting at home, pondering on the many possible adventures you could explore in the gaming landscape. From shooters to RPG's you just can not make up your mind. So instead you turn to the books and try to find a literary adventure to enthral yourself into. From the work of Shakespeare to the modern workings of authors such as Stephen King with stories such as The Shining and Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, you scroll through your catalogue yet find nothing you haven't read before. One day a friend decides to gift you a game which will change the ways in which you comprehend fiction all together.
The Wizards pen is a game in which I have only invested as of now almost half an hour into yet I just keep yearning for more. In this game you play the role of an old friend of a wise wizard who's name not even I know and explore through many different puzzles and guessing games which even the likes of Sherlock Holms may struggle with. There is never a page left unturned when playing this game as you are presented with challenge after challenge for both yourself and your mind. This game by all means is not difficult. Many of the puzzles and guessing games can be completed first try. However it is not about the difficulty but about the journey. You will laugh, cry and perhaps even become delighted with this hidden Pop Cap gem.
So if you are wanting a change of pace from your regular action game experiences, want something to challenge the mind or even just want to un wind after a long day. well my friend 2008s the wizard pen is the game for you. Just remember one thing.

Classic PopCap at it again. This time you have to guess items by revealing or unscrambling pictures bit by bit. The quicker you can guess the item the more gold stars you get. Guess all of them and earn a badge so you can.... grow your tower. Overall a good game and a great way to occupy a few hours.

It's a very simple game, as you might expect from Pop Cap. You'll be mostly guessing the image from revealing portions, manually typing the guess in (and it's pretty generous with the words), with the occasional twisted, pixelated, and rearranged tiles images. Each chapter ends with a "spot the missing item" image, which is an interesting twist on the tired pot-the-item genre. You get to bring three potions that give you single-use, short-term benefits per chapter, which help a little, but aren't a crutch. I can see this taking 4-5 hours to complete, though you wouldn't want to do it all in one sitting, since there's so little variety.
It's fun, not too complex, and I can see this being a fun interactive stream with chat.
