Midnight Witch
In this 90’s anime-inspired, wave-based, 2D run-and-gun side-scroller, you play as a magical girl on the side of light. Load out your arsenal of spells to free the legion of spirits corrupted by the legion of shadow. Progress through an ever changing forest, to get to the bottom of what’s causing the corruption. What is the legion of shadow and what do they want with our world? Defeat waves of enemies to find the truth.
With different elements at your disposal, combine them with light to create powerful explosions of magic to push back the dark. Dodge and position yourself to make the most of the spell patterns to deliver the strongest attacks possible. The forest is dangerous though, you’ll need help. Meet a mysterious person who offers his wares in exchange for purging the dark. No matter how you choose to play, the forest needs your help to free the light once more.

This is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VNs I have ever read, and one of my ALL TIME favorite VNs. Do not miss out playing/reading it. Otherwise you won't have lived a full lfie. The story truly resonated with me and took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Why pay for a bad VN when you can read a perfectly fine one for free?
More seriously, this is a very good reading, around 4-5 hours max so it's easy to play between longer games.

Quite a fun experience. Although I only played until the end of the first day, I really enjoyed it. If this game gets even deeper into the lore and actually draws the player into it, this could be a masterpiece. I give it a 6/10.

Midnight Witch is a great visual novel, featuring a compelling and thrilling storyline full of unexpected plot twists.
At first, you might find yourself strongly disliking the witch and her evil, before realizing what actually transpires (including some dark sides of various characters here).
Sadness, hatred, loneliness, betrayal, and even infidelity—all are present in this game. I highly recommend Play This Game.

Firstly i would like to recommend this game to everyone since it's free so you have absolutely nothing to lose by giving it a chance. Secondly I would say this game is an absolute treat. It tackles some pretty serious topics, but it is done in a very nice and fascinating way. I loved the characters and it has a pretty good plot twist. Thank you Crimson moon studio for this game and I would like to play any other game you develop.

Great story, great game, great visual, great plotwist. Amazing game, wish it was longer though with more options and games. And hopefully there will be a sequel/new update continuing the game somehow.
