The Doorway Effect

The Doorway Effect is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror roguelike. Inspired by the co-op horror of Phasmophobia and Escape the Backrooms, the gameplay of Doors, and the existentialism of The Stanley Parable.

While you can still play and enjoy the game solo, we know there’s no better feeling than getting scared half to death alongside other people. The Doorway Effect supports cross-platform multiplayer, allowing you to quickly and easily play with friends.

This game is atmospheric, frightening, and filled with secrets. There’s no telling what may be waiting beyond each door. Collect keys, solve puzzles, outsmart the entities, and brace yourself for the worst…

Push forward through 100s of doors in a shapeshifting hotel, scrambling to escape the horrors within, and to reach the final Doorway. Run after run, make it a little further each time, and attempt to unravel the larger mysteries as you do.
