Hi I’m Travis. I made this video game. I’m publishing this unfinished before the company I once worked for distorts and redesigns my work, making it totally unrecognizable. Long story short, before planning to put in my 2 weeks notice, I decided to pitch a big project of my own. Shovel Software loved it so much they gave it full funding and with me in control of production. I started fleshing out the concepts and designs, then started programming the game. Two weeks into the project, all of sudden I get called in the office and the boss fires me. This left me no choice but to delete everything but the final level, leaving it unfinished. It was the only level they’d seen and I didn’t want them to finish what I started.
I worked for Shovel Software for 13 years and was immediately terminated two weeks after pitching this project. I wonder if its because they found my resignation draft in the actual project. I’ve programmed and designed hundreds of quick-money grabbing games for this company, making them millions and I’m the clown thinking working above and beyond gets me up the chain. You can work hard and dedicate all your energy to a place that doesn’t care about you. I should’ve known this was going to happen. They can’t win this time. I can’t let them. They may have all my ideas and projects but I’ll fight till the end! I for once am taking control of me, my life, my soul. I gave them my time, my energy, my money. I’m all I have left.
This shoot ’em up piece is about focus, and not giving up. Not much to say about gameplay, but do notice the patterns, learn to dodge quickly, and position yourself for some sweet strikes! Oh, and there’s also a time score to see how fast you completed the game!

Bleeding Metal Rainbow is a really interesting little game with a fun narrative hook for what is ultimately a single boss fight. The game unfortunately requires you to button mash pretty fast if you want the best odds of beating the boss, but aside from that learning the patterns is a simple experience. It's short sweet, and deserves a quick look if you are into simple and short games

amazing trailer, amazing backstory, amazing gameplay. 100% achievements in 22 minutes. yet my hands hurt from the intensity, which was well worth the one full USD.

I love this company on the 3DS, originally got The Queen TV Game 2 for $0.02 and from there I proceeded to buy the rest of the games on 3DS and steam (so far). I hope they make more microgames and look forward to the next projects. Solid 8/10 for difficulty and lore alone.

I thought I was too weak and slow to play this game but then I was Alive. Don't give up!

Very fast past and the learning curve is sharp and it's very challenging but I enjoy it. The music is alright. If ya wanna sell this to Nintendo might wanna ease on the f bombs. But yeah Kinda cool.

This was definitely very intriguing and the boss was a fun bullet hell challenge for sure. I'm very glad they have full gamepad support as well. Beating this boss a couple times, I realized how much I was limiting myself by not spamming. I'd love to see more this kind of Pibby-like narrative.

Let's keep this short and sweet, just like the game itself. Overall great concept but ultimately falls flat due to it's brevity. The game is begging for expansion with every aspect of it. Imagine an architect drew out the plans for a building and had the land surveyed and readied for the start of construction but only the foundation was laid out and the project was abandoned....there is so much potential here. Keep at it Butterfly, I foresee a bright future for you.
