Manage up to 147 gangsters (126 gangsters in combat at one time), each with different statistics. Use your custom deck to take the City, defeat the enemy gang to claim victory over the city. Use cars/motorbikes and scooters to complete missions against the enemy gang. Everything gangster related will be in this game!
After release I have plans to release some free updates…
—–World Events
—–More awesome cards
—–A gangster weapon experience system(the more they use a certain weapon.. the more damage they will do
—–Different types of transformations(Black wings, Gold wings)
—– Constant quality of life improvements and balancing the game
—– Improve card graphics
—– New mission to plant an enemy RAT

Lots of fun playing this game!
I really enjoy creating my own deck of cards to use, and how you can make money in so many different ways (like the gambling den and the music label!)
I also really like experimenting with different weapon combinations and different strategies. Will play a lot more!

This game is incredibly unique and I am really enjoying it so far. A lot of strategy involved. Looking forward to playing more hours!

I wish I could leave a review without a recommendation. I feel kinda crappy recommending it with the state it's in but I don't want to screw up the ratio for this fledgling project and I don't know how steam store algorithms work.
This needs work.
This isn't vapor ware. This isn't a early access, take the money and run scheme. This is a labor of love, but it is rough right now. It's dirt cheap, and I think once it's polished it'll be worth the money. It's still definitely EA though. It looks to be a deep sim with fun deck building elements. There might be too many things going on and not enough focus applied to the meat of it, but that's just my guess with my little play time.
The UI is aggressively bad. If it's not pretty it should at least be clean. This is hard to look at and decipher. The clouds aren't immersive they're smudges. If that pixel mobster doesn't quit blowing smoke at my face then this confusion is going to turn into frustration. Everything should be one font. Different fonts for different screens? Cool. Six different typefaces for the main screen (Kill the rat, End turn, Italy level 1, Money menu, Card descriptions, and the helvetica letters over pxel art cookies that are the POIs)? Oof.
Also there are a bunch of tool tips and tutorials, however the're embedded and competing with all the other clutter. I don't know what order I should be clicking them and it's tiresome to learn stuff out of context and have to experiment. I don't mind when games ask you to fail to learn, but from what I've seen from everything else I don't know if this will be worth that effort. There are video tutorials, but none tell me how all these mechanics the game is throwing at me relate to each other or the win condition. I like complicated games, and I like that some things have minigames, but I am in the weeds here. I don't need it all laid out for me, learning is part of the fun of complex games, but I would at least like to know what I'm getting into.
Criticisms aside, I think there's a gem under all this. There are a lot of mechanics at work here, a lot of systems to jump into. I don't think I could come up with something like this and the dev has clearly put a bunch of work in. I'm all for supporting indie devs, and there are some ideas I really like here. So I'm not gunna ask for a refund. I'm going to check back in on this in a few months and see where this goes.

I wanted a chill, WINDOWED, game I can play while watching stuff and working in the background. "Balatro" doesn't let me window on my laptop. This concept is incredible for a fella like me (that loves gangster movies). I need to be able to ADHD in-between tasks and still get stuff done. This can be incredible! I hope they keep working on it. I NEED to get in-touch, & would love to be part of the dev team, or a supporter. www.fightingspiritmedia.com
PS
The current state WILL frustrate you! Please play anyway and help us get in contact.

Not sure where to start on this one. First...YES it's a buy. Any game cheaper than a gallon of gas is always a good thing. This is like the game that would of been around before Gangsters Organized Crime. A lot less on graphics but high on things to do. First how to play it. That's going to take a while because videos are few and not rich in content. As mentioned in another post, it's a work of love. So I'm eager to see what gets added next to enrich this little gem. For the full price it's worth getting even now unfinished.
At first glance it's a bit jumbled, but after a few games you'll get the hang of it. At the end it all makes for thoughtful game play choices like the distance you are from you enemies as to which weapons to use
and which cars or scooters to ride on a given mission. Do I get my supply of goods from someone else and will they hate me for doing it. A lot of choices, a lot of things to go wrong.
