Synthetic Hazard
Synthetic Hazard is a first person rogue-like shooter, developed by a team of young ESAT students as a final degree project. Take control of a security android in a secret laboratory after a catastrophic containment breach.
Battle your way through the facility with high mobility, a modular upgrade system, and an arsenal of experimental futuristic weapons.
Your goal? To destroy the core of the escaped techno-parasite, thus preventing its attempts to escape to the surface. On your way there you will have to face modified and corrupted robotic experiments, part machine, part biological, don’t let corruption overtake you!
The facility:
Fight for the future of humanity in a secret three-story laboratory with over 70 rooms created by hand and procedurally rearranged. No run will be the same!
The enemies:
The techno-parasite, a biotechnological being capable of modifying the machinery at will, conceived as a secret weapon, this specimen has escaped and has nested in the core of the facilities, from where it’s spreading its dangerous flesh.
Corroding and corrupting everything in its path, it has also taken control of the rest of the laboratory’s robotic experiments, modifying and improving them, to create a fearsome army.
Weapons and abilities:
As a 701 series security android, you have enormous potential at your fingertips, you were designed to be highly adaptable to all kinds of situations and threats. As you progress in your mission to end the synthetic hazard, you will be able to get improvement modules that will allow you to improve yourself and unlock new skills, or open weapons cache where you can acquire experimental weapons to help you defeat your enemies.
Key features:
- 3 lab levels, each filled with more than 70 hand-made rooms.
- 6 weapons at your disposal, short or long range, new or old redesigned technology, there is a bit of everything.
- A polished sense of movement with levels that allow you to express your play style.
- 6 perks, with which to get powerful upgrades and offer variety to your game session.
- 8 different enemies to fight.
- You can complete the main story by beating the three procedural levels or fight the techno-parasite in an optional arena mode.

This is a GREAT freebie and absolutely worthy of the early access title on Steam. It's an FPS that reminds me of the Serious Sam franchise, in which you just run around shooting a ton of stuff with different weapons and try not to die. Give it a whirl! Yes, it has promise- most early access games do. Yes, it needs a little work- all games do.
Pros:
- I think the graphics are great
- The player character moves as fast a cheetah and with the grace of a kitten
- Not fast enough? Press shift! You turn on your pneumatic jumper legs and run as fast a CYBORG cheetah!
- Do you like shooting stuff? SO DO I!
- Weapons are easy to find: you just have to shoot tiny school buses and they shower you with weapons and ammo like a piñata!
- Some enemies just disappear after a while as if they're as tired of chasing you as you are of running from them
- Very original indicator to let the player know they are hit- there is literally no other way to know.
- Did you ever wonder at the magnitude of insignificance that a clone must feel? NOW YOU CAN KNOW FOR YOURSELF!
- Replayability!
- Is anyone still reading this stuff?
Cons:
- John Malkovich
- Nicholas Cage
- John Cus... sorry
- Sometimes the weapons just won't shoot but it's a pretty minor thing and doesn't happen often
- It's hard to focus on the robot lady talking at you when you're running around like a cyborg cheetah
- I couldn't figure out how to replace an equipped weapon with a new one but they all just shoot and kill stuff anyway, right?
- The rooms are a little bit cluttered for trying to avoid being hit by stuff- REFER TO PRO #6!
@Developers do you plan to update this game and develop it further?

Beautiful looking game hindered by lack of information within the options to enjoy it. You have your basic movement controls, followed by Ctrl to crouch. The motion blur is especially diabolical when playing on a potato, and you can't rebind them.

Looks great, the guns are fun as well. Feels very empty right now though and fair enough as it is in early access, and also it crashed on me on my first play-through. But regardless I feel like this has potential, I hope this gets better and better later down the road!

It had a think layer of jank on it (aiming feels off, falling through floors, poor ai) but damn it it doesn't look and play damn well. I will be sinking more time into it when I have some free time

Fun game. Finished a run exploring the entire compound. Got a bow and an SMG but couldn't pick up the shotgun. Finished the level and it restarted me so I said why not. Finished the first room, moved to the next hallway. When I entered, there was no room so I walked forward thinking it hadn't loaded. Fell for 2 minutes before closing out. The same 5 voice lines also repeat themselves. What cruel instinct.

There is definitely and awesome concept here, it just needs touch ups: Animations( weapon, enemies, MC, etc) and Movement needs to have more to be smoother and flowing
Enemies need to make noises and with a variants( if not a more diverse amount).
The same can apply to the weapons: Improved sound and more variation and difference in weapon feel ( maybe a moding system and equipment like grenades). Bigger maps/ intricate to better take advantage of the movement mechanics.
Once all that is there, this'll be Hella fun sh1t.
Make it good, real good.
Best Wishes

very nice game reminds me of call of duty infinite warfare and doom camapian. I'm currently trying to make something similar in unity. My one problem is unreal engine 4 crashes a good bit while playing but nice game. The minimum specs are wrong my pc is worse than minimum requirements and it runs fine.
