“Forgotten Journey” is a puzzle-oriented platformer, where the player will follow a linear path jumping, climbing, and solving puzzles with the help of an AI companion that will follow her.
After making a silly mistake while doing some reparations, Mainkah opens an interstellar gate and gets herself transported to an unknown world, which she will need to explore to find her way out of there.
- Puzzle solving
- Scenic Landscapes
- Explore a new world
- Full of misteries
Forgotten Journey is a project developed by Asvaq Games, a team of 4th Year students at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe – Bilbao (http://www.digipen.es) in a 9-month development cycle using Unreal Engine 4.

Had a lot of fun playing this game, i clocked in at just less than 30 minutes. I had an issue where when we first start climbing the walls the controls said to press LT and that wasn't working for me. I held down RT and she turned around to jump on the stone platform. Other than that it was really cool and a beautiful game!
Its pretty straight forward but here is my play through for it:

Forgotten Journey has it all, beautiful environment, wonderful story line and voice acting.
As a short free game it leaves you wanting more.
I hope this is just the start of this type of game by the developers.
If they made a longer full version I would buy it in a heartbeat.

This game is really nice, but it is also very short. I wish it was longer because it has a lot of potential. But hey, it's a free game and it is fun.

The game presents a lot of interesting ideas, but there are a lot of weak points on it that with time could be fixed (they are not game breaking).I'll leave a list here:
-The game has potential visually, but there are a few textures that feel strange or underresolution.
-The movement is well thought, but badly executed and there are fault on the control scheme as some inputs where incorrectly shown to the player (the "jumping Off the wall).
-There are holes on the level design, I mean literally I skipped a puzzle through one of them, that lead to the game getting broken and portal not working.
Here you have some footage:

This game belongs to a university project (you can confirm that in the credits). It has some flaws in AI, sound design could be improved, the dialogs get overly dramatic, some areas could have a better level design, etc.
All in all, it's not the next AAA, but in a couple of years we will probably see this guys contributing in bigger projects or making their own games.

It works, I suppose? It's free and twenty minutes long and it at least TRIES to tell a story. A very poor story with no substance and build-up, delivered via very muffled voice acting that doesn't seem to match the subtitles and cuts away too quickly, but an attempt was made all the same.
So, if the attempt was to make a Tomb Raider/Uncharted successor, the developer succeeded at that. However, if this is some kind of prototype, I caution against basing a game on pushing blocks slowly around, climbing slowly across ledges, and slowly solving puzzles.

Supports Windows 7 - super wide screen - 5120x1440 - nice graphics, story, controls & free, Whats no to like? I like the girls voice & accent. Lacks some sound with some animations so "-A Minus" grade :) Short but sweet. Make another one :)
