Step into the role of being a keeper of your own Japanese garden. Players can relax peacefully among this Japanese Strolling Garden, by completing day to day tasks and enjoying the sights and landmarks.
Key Tasks:
– Feed the Fish in the ponds
– Light the Toro Stone Lanterns
– Plant and grow the bamboo
– Meditate under the rising sun
– Catch the butterflies
– Discover all the landmarks
– Mark the passage of time by hitting the Bonsho (bell)
As you make your way through some of the tasks, you may find some secrets along the way, and discover new landmarks on each playthrough. Find your tasks on your task board at the start of the garden.

'Rising Sun VR' is a relaxation style app in which you are given a series of supposedly relaxing tasks to perform. Movement is teleport only and no snap turning (with no options to change it). The Japanese garden is colourful and relaxing I suppose, but this is not really a game, nor is there anything here to relax with. Sure, someone will find the game relaxing and enjoy feeding the fish and watering the plants, but it is all so simple and you probably wouldn't want to perform the tasks more than once.
Having said that £3.99 isn't a lot and I am sure someone will enjoy it, but it is far too basic and simple for us adults but the little ones might enjoy it. If meh was a rating, this game would win it. I finished it all in just shy of 20 mins, but you could easily do it all in less than 5. But if you take your time and enjoy the scenery it could also take a lot longer! I give it the thumbs up because thumbs down seemed a little harsh given the small price.

Can't wait for the multiplayer expansion! Best 15 minutes of my life. I lasted longer here than my wife says I do in bed, which between you and I is more like 15 seconds. That being said, it is very relaxing and fun!
I would recommend for seniors or people newer to VR to check this out as it is slow paced and allows the players to enjoy the experience and not be overwhelmed.
