This is what I consider a "perfect game". It's a small package of a game that tries something new and it executes it to absolute perfection. Every system in the game is perfectly crafted to support all other systems. I come back to this game all the time to just quickly blast a few rounds. It's just so much FUN. I'm very happy to have this in my library of games.

Have you ever dreamt of being a slightly weird person falling down into a strange and endless well with a pair of guns strapped to your boots that reloads on contact with rock, flesh or eldritch horrors? Well good news I guess!
At its core it is a vertically scrolling shooter with roguelite elements that truly challenge reaction times and pattern recognition. All in all a weird experience that truly encapsulates the feeling of an old arcade, weird resolutions, a lack of colors and all the rest of its gimmicks. Having fiddled around with it for a while I realized how extremely bad I was at navigating the endless descent into the froggy underbelly of moisture and madness and just started coming up with a headcanon around what's going on, and from there the hours simply ran straight away..
So yea, I do recommend “Gun Boot surveyor VS Color out of Space”. It is quick, cheap and enticing if you like a tight retro-arcade feeling that is right up there with the arcades of old.
