Summary: Funny fighting game
Personal notes: Drunken Wrestlers is a simple, free to play, physics-based fighting game. The goal is simple enough, throw punches, stay on your feet, and knock your opponent out before they get you. I initially played Drunken Wrestlers 2 a while ago and decided to take a step back in time and visit the original. While I would highly recommend playing that one over this one, this one remains free and there is some fun to be had. Drunken Wrestlers 1 & 2 don't take themselves too seriously and I think that decision makes these game quite entertaining and funny, for a short while at least, despite not having a lot of content overall. The gameplay/fighting is intentionally clumsy with every movement feeling purposeful but awkward. Once you get the hang of it though, the chaotic physics become the main source of entertainment, at least for me. There isn't much content outside of the core fighting, but that's understandable considering the game is completely free and was built in a week! The simple gameplay can become repetitive after a while though. With no sense of progression or story, the fighting is what keeps you around. The audio and visual design is very basic but they do fit the game's low budget style. Achievement-wise, this game has none so no need to worry about that. Overall, Drunken Wrestlers is a very simple but decently entertaining game that's worth trying if you enjoy physics-based multiplayer chaos. It doesn't offer much long-term content, but for a free game, I would recommend it if you have some friends to play it with for an hour or so of fun!

Games quite fun, also pretty nostalgic for me, kinda crazy to know it released around 13 years ago now.

Definitely fun for what it is. It's goofy, and I found myself chuckling a few times, particularly when you manage to suplex your opponent. Considering that this game was made in a week for a game jam by a 16 year old, this is pretty impressive, the only real issue is that there just isn't much "game" in the game, it gets stale pretty quickly single player. I could definitely see this being a fun 2 player game, which it has the option for, sit around with your friends and "wrestle" the crap out of each other, it could be a fun time.

If this game looks fun to you, check this one out, but also check out the sequel to this game. It seems to address the "no game in the game" issue, and looks like a much more "real" game. For free, this one is worth a quick play for the silliness alone.

Игра "Drunken Wrestlers" - это безумный и уморительный симулятор борьбы, где физика пьяных тел создает хаос на ринге. Смешные раскачивающиеся анимации и непредсказуемые движения делают каждый бой уникальным и полным неожиданностей. Поначалу управление кажется неуклюжим, но именно в этом и заключается вся прелесть! Падения, удачные захваты и внезапные нокауты вызывают взрывы смеха.
Графика простая, но эффективная, а геймплей, несмотря на кажущуюся хаотичность, имеет свою глубину. Экспериментируя с разными приемами и углами атаки, можно добиваться впечатляющих результатов. Игра отлично подходит для вечеринок с друзьями, где можно вдоволь посмеяться над нелепыми ситуациями, возникающими во время борьбы.
Конечно, игра может быстро надоесть, если играть в одиночку и долго, но для коротких сессий и получения дозы позитива – это отличный выбор. Единственным недостатком можно назвать отсутствие каких-либо серьезных режимов или прогрессии, но это компенсируется абсолютной абсурдностью происходящего. Рекомендую всем, кто хочет от души повеселиться и отключиться от серьезных игр.

despite it being really really simple, it's unironically really fun to play. If you have a friend to play with, the fights are straight gold.
