Duplexer
Duplexer is a challenging single-player puzzle platformer game. The player can push or pull the walls, floor and ceiling around them to overcome many puzzling, platforming and physics based trials.
The game is designed to encourage players to solve puzzles in new and innovative ways. By focusing on a very simple mechanic, the game opens up near-endless level possibilities and puzzle solving methods. This allows the player to complete many levels in various different ways, depending on the approach they like to take and how their mind overcomes complex challenges.
Players must overcome challenges and puzzles by moving sections of the walls to maneuver themselves, and other objects, through the level.
Featuring:
- 100 interesting and challenging levels
- Original music score
- 21 Challenging Achievements
- Accurate time tracking for every level
We plan to continually release updates which includes more levels to challenge yourselves on, these updates will be FREE forever!
Here at Vantage Games we love competition. That’s why we encourage players to put their skills to the test and try to complete our game as fast as possible. We have built the game with competitive speed running in mind and would love it if you pushed our game to its limits. To help do this we have provided a built in timer to every level and all levels can be replayed at any time.

This is a pretty good game. Most puzzles are interesting and fun. However, couple are just a test of you mouse and fine movements, no purpose but to waste time doing some little thing to perfection from the 20th time. I would still recommend the game!

What this game may lack in character it definitly makes up for in creativity, puzzle design and challenge.
The satisfaction from completing some of the most challenging puzzles I've ever experienced is astounding.
If you like games like portal and need a real challenge, this is the game for you.

So far i'm really enjoying this game. Every level has unique puzzles to solve and I'm always looking forward to what new tricks and techniques I'll need to use to solve the next level.
I would say this game is extremely challenging, some levels require precise execution while others require intense thinking and planning. All this makes it feel extremely rewarding and satisfying when you complete a challenging level.
Would recommend to anyone who liked portal for it's puzzle-platforming and enjoys a difficult game.

Interesting game so far, I really like the concept and idea.
If you enjoy chilling and doing some interesting puzzles then you'll enjoy this. It has a LOT of levels to go through each one with a different scenario. I'm already scratching my head by the 10th level or so - just got to the part where new mechanics are brought in to make the puzzles even more interesting/dynamic as you progress. Wish me luck haha

Duplexer is Vantage Games' first Steam title and I think it's a great start!
It's clear from the screenshots and trailer that the developer's main focus was gameplay, and the mechanics reflect that: Each one has an introductory level where the player gets to mess around with it, before steadily upping the difficulty of the puzzles to the point where it almost seems unfair. Almost... but not quite. Between the main actions of extruding and retracting elements of the level, portal-esque cubes and balls that must be placed on switches, and more complex mechanics such as the electric wires (one of my favourite parts!), the later levels become increasingly challenging to solve and usually require a lot of experimentation. Duplexer definitely has a few rage moments where a finely-tuned solution is ruined by a stray button click (in fact, some levels seem to be built around this!), but finally solving a level after carefully examining everything and putting a plan into action is immensly satisfying.
The graphics are simple, without much more detail than what is required to solve the level. The player can "tag" individual game tiles with a cross-shaped mark much like marking squares in a game of minesweeper - this comes in handy in a bunch of different ways, such as planning out routes for moving objects, or marking the way in a maze. Although a little unpolished, I think that the minimal graphics help the game. Filling stages with anything extra would be pretty distracting in such a puzzle-heavy game. The music and sound effects probably won't blow you away, but they definitely add to the gameplay experience without being repetitive.
Overall: if you're looking for a puzzle game with interesting mechanics and want to actually feel challenged (I'm looking at you, Portal 2!), then I'd recommend Duplexer. Don't let the simple style scare you away from a great game.
Disclaimer: I do know a developer, but this didn't change how I reviewed the game. I loved it!
TL;DR: Great mechanics with some very tricky puzzles, it'll keep you busy.

A decent game with some imaginative ideas, however some puzzles very tedious. For example you may know the solution but controls can be an issue.
