STHELL
STHELL is a fast-paced arena shooter with roguelite elements that will take you to a forgotten swamp that was once a test site of Kiratron Industries – a company that specializes in robotics and experimental weaponry. Years have passed and their designs were left to rust in the swamps, yet instead of staying offline forever they have gone on a rampage and it is up to you to decommission them for good by means of superior firepower.
During each run you will gather credits that you can spend between runs to unlock new abilities and permanent upgrades. You will need them to square-off against progressively more murderous machines and even more brutal bosses. Test out new builds and weapons to fine-tune your robot scrapping prowess.
Compare your robot scrapping skills on the global leaderboards or create your own and compete against your friends. Test the limits of your skills and character loadouts against progressively harder and tougher mechanized murder machines. Every millisecond you defy death brings you higher and higher on the world’s leaderboard.

For the current price, it's a steal. It's a simple arena shooter with some replayability potential with upgrades, etc.

It's just a simple arena shooter, you spawn and then start killing, i recommend it if you want to spend some time dodging enemies and shooting like a maniac, good luck surviving the bosses :>

I got it for a less than a dollar so I guess it's really not that bad. The music is okay. The aesthetic is pretty good even if there's not that much to see. If you take perks upgrading weapons they slightly change in appearance too - not something I really expected from a game with one dollar price tag. I did not care enough to read the lore entries for every enemy but their presence is a plus.
The weapons themselves are pretty boring with 3 variations of automatic rifles / machine guns, a starting pistol, a shotgun and a railgun (?) although I guess that could be the case of beauty in simplicity. Meta-progression exists but it's not particularly exciting either - active abilities aren't balanced, and what is also frustrating is that different levels of the same perk take numerous slots (i.e instead of having one slot dedicated to speed+++ you will need 3 slots dedicated to speed+, speed++, and speed+++ to get the absolute maximum). That kind of defeats the idea of "unlocking more stuff to get further in" - especially since the game doesn't have a spawn cap and if you don't manage to clear the field quickly enough you will be quickly swarmed and stoned to death by eastern Europe version of chatGPT.
I don't know if I'd really buy it even for 4 bucks, but for less than a dollar? Sure. And I gifted it to a couple of my friends too.
