brief was simple. I commissioned artists to create a fantasy world, and hide as many bees as they can inside it. Now it’s your job to find them all! With 10 art pieces to choose from, and 1000+ bees, you will have a lot of searching to do.
Controls:
Use your mouse to move around the image and zoom in / out. When you find a bee, click it and it will disappear. You can also use WASD to move and the arrow keys to zoom.
Difficulty:
A full range of difficulty is included, but all levels start unlocked, your progress is saved as you play, and you can use hints if you get stuck.
Get immersed:
Each painting has its own music and ambiance to help you connect with the world, as you search for all the bees.
Replayable
You can restore a small number of bees back into a painting so you can find them again! It’s much harder when there are only a few bees left (especially randomly). You can also use up to 3 save slots so you can replay without progress loss. Alternatively, you can reset your progress for the entire game if you’d like to start over.

I Commissioned Some Bees is a hidden-object game where you search through beautifully illustrated fantasy artworks to find an absurd number of bees hidden within them. With over 1000 bees spread across 10 unique art pieces, the game is all about careful observation and persistence.
The artworks are colorful and detailed, each with its own music and ambiance that help create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere.
There are 13 achievements, all tied to thoroughly completing the artworks. I reached 100% completion in about 5.8 hours.
I paid 0,59 € on sale, which is excellent value considering the amount of content and the relaxing experience it offers.
Overall, it was a cozy and satisfying hidden-object game – if you enjoy detailed art, relaxed searching, and the simple joy of finding things hidden in plain sight, I Commissioned Some Bees is easy to recommend.

A Nice and Cheap Hidden Objects Game
What this game is: A hidden bees and objects game, like others found on Steam.
How does it work? It is a basic point and click game. You have to find all the bees and objects hidden in a big colourful picture. Once you've found all of these, you can go on to the next picture.
How does it perform? Very easy to play. You click on each bee/object you find and it disappears. Many bees and objects are easy to find, however the backgrounds are very creative and some are making finding the bees much more difficult.
The good points: Simple and generally relaxing game. Getting the Achievements is quite easy and there are no apparent bugs. Takes less than 70 MB on your HD, and will run on a 10 years old PC. You can expect a few hours of entertainement out of it depending on the speed with which you are playing (at least 4 to 7 hours of play). There is a Bonus Picture if you complete the first set of pictures. There are good controls allowing you to play with the settings. The music is different from picture to picture and generally nice and cozy (except one). There are Steam Trading Cards.
The bad points: It is a basic hidden animals/objects game, so playing is very linear and repetitive.
My take on this: If you like arelatively cheap and relaxing games, this is it. The price is low, and on that side the developer is not ripping you off for this game. You will get quite a few hours of gaming out of it. This game is much better than other hidden cats and the like games. Definitely recommended. If you are interested and find it for sale, don't hesitate to buy it.

love this dev's game and this one is no different! Plenty of different artwork to search and explore, though a few are a bit difficult on the eyes. but always excited to see the different art they've pulled together for a game! Totally recommend getting any/all of their games if you're into HOG's

I Commissioned Some Bees, developed by Follow the Fun and published under the “I Commissioned Some” series, is a charming and surprisingly relaxing hidden object game that takes a minimalist concept and executes it with care and creativity. Rather than relying on flashy mechanics or complex gameplay loops, the game centers around a simple premise: find bees hidden in a series of hand-drawn illustrations. While the idea may sound light on substance, the game manages to stand out thanks to its polished presentation, thoughtful design, and focus on visual detail.
The game offers ten unique illustrations, each carefully crafted by independent artists commissioned specifically for this title. These aren't just random doodles or overly busy collages; they are cohesive, imaginative scenes filled with whimsical detail and thematic variety. Whether you're scanning a fantasy garden, a bustling market, or a surreal dreamscape, each illustration invites careful observation and rewards patience. The bees are cleverly hidden—sometimes blending into similarly shaped background elements or peeking out from unusual places—so finding them often feels satisfying rather than frustrating.
Gameplay is straightforward and user-friendly. Players can zoom in and out to inspect each piece of artwork and click on bees as they discover them. There’s no timer or pressure, though an optional timer exists for those who want to track their progress. Importantly, all levels are unlocked from the beginning, which removes any sense of grinding or artificial gating. Unlimited hints are available too, ensuring that the game remains accessible to players of all skill levels. This combination of open-ended design and stress-free pacing makes the game ideal for casual play sessions or as a relaxing break from more demanding titles.
A notable feature is the ability to “restore” a limited number of bees to completed illustrations, effectively allowing players to replay scenes with increased difficulty. While the core objective remains the same, this feature adds a mild layer of replayability, especially for those who enjoy the challenge of spotting the most elusive bees. The game also includes multiple save slots, making it easy to share with others or replay with fresh eyes without losing previous progress.
Visually, the game’s appeal lies in its art-forward approach. Each commissioned piece brings a distinct mood and setting, and the bees themselves are subtly woven into the compositions in clever and humorous ways. It’s clear the artists were given room to be creative, and their work adds considerable personality to the game. Complementing the visuals is a gentle ambient soundtrack that helps set a calm, focused tone—never distracting, but always present to smooth out the experience.
That said, the game is very much designed for a specific type of player. If you’re looking for narrative depth, gameplay variety, or evolving challenges, this might not be the right fit. The game doesn't have a story or characters to follow, nor does it introduce new mechanics over time. The appeal rests entirely in the act of looking—of scanning through busy scenes, appreciating the artistry, and getting a quiet thrill from each successful discovery. Some players may find that the novelty wears off after a few levels, particularly if they’re less invested in the meditative nature of the experience.
The level of challenge can also vary depending on your screen size or resolution. On smaller displays, bees can blend in a bit too well, which might lead to occasional moments of frustration. The game mitigates this with its unlimited hint system, but for some, relying on hints too often can undercut the sense of accomplishment.
Ultimately, I Commissioned Some Bees succeeds by knowing exactly what it wants to be: a cozy, art-driven hidden object experience that invites players to slow down, pay attention, and enjoy the act of observation. It doesn’t try to be bigger or more complex than necessary, and that restraint is what gives it such charm. For players who appreciate quiet games, visual puzzles, or simply want something light and satisfying to fill short play sessions, this game delivers exactly that. It’s a small, well-crafted package that highlights the joy of finding little things in beautiful places—and sometimes, that’s all you need.

This game is so cute - It's a simple 'find the thing' game, but the artwork is all different from each other, colorful and whimsical.
The twisted artwork really kicked my butt something fierce, though HAHA

This hidden object game is as delightful as it sounds. You’ll be hunting for bees across 10 unique, whimsical scenes. Each one is brought to life with its own vibe and a perfectly paired soundtrack that shifts to match the mood. It’s a lovely touch that makes each search feel fresh. While zooming in too far can make things a little blurry or pixelated the experience is still relaxing, cheap and oddly addictive. Unlike many hidden object games that offer just one scene here you get a full set of ten to comb through. It’s light, fun, and worth the buzz.
