Summer Party Time is a yet another collection of minigames from Sat-box, makers of many collections of cheap minigames that I keep buying for some reason. This one is basically their earlier Our Summer Sports except that it's mostly silly Mario Party-style games instead of Olympic events. You'll play twelve games in a row, get points for your finishing order in each one, and then crown a winner after about a half hour.
As with the other Sat-box games, all the events on offer here are very simple to control and have straightforward objectives. They'd all be pretty easy for a kid to pick up, which is probably the point, but the AI can be surprisingly good at a few of them. There is an easier difficulty mode and the option of playing entirely without bots, though, so most people can probably find some combination of settings that isn't too frustrating.
None of the individual minigames are exactly original, but they're all reasonably well made. There's a good amount of variety on offer without ever resorting to the garbage luck-based games that sometimes show up in Mario Party. It's certainly enough to stay fun for a 30 minute tournament, but I don't think any of these games will be memorable for very long after you finish.
