Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.
Is it a masterpiece? No, certainly not, and it doesn't pretend to be one. The description says it is a 2h point and click adventure, and this is what it is. It took me a few minutes longer, but I am not the brightest guy. The story is about an old guy looking for a book. Escape with the book, and the game is over. To get the book, you have to solve a few puzzles on the way, not overly difficult. Actually, the game was fun and I am a bit sad I finished it so soon. Gamepad support works fine - select hotspot and press RT. Sometimes you need an item from your small inventory selected first.
Conclusion:
Very short and quite easy, but somehow funny point and click adventure.

Great illustrations with a simple narrative. Easy collectibles, it beeps when you get close. I'd play more like it. Just looking for a secret passage.

This game is about a grandpa who set an adventure to reclaim the book from museum.
It's also family friendly with relaxing atmosphere.
For the puzzle I found it's not too hard to solve although got stuck a little bit.
For collectibles which is cache in this game can be a little bit tricky to find but only some not all 20.
I completed 100% in under 2h but had replayed again because it's fun plus I also like the voice acting and color graphics.
If you love adventure game, I definitely recommend to try this game out!

A fairly short and sweet point-and-click adventure that works great as an introduction to the genre. The game features several puzzles including Sokoban and stealth-based sneaking around. There are some "Where's Waldo"-style gameplay where you can look for and collect various caches. What use these caches are, however, remains a mystery.
I'd like to also point out that since it can be sometimes hard to spot these caches, especially when they are hidden among grasses and stuff, the game provides an audio-based hot-cold indicator. Much like in the hot-cold guessing game, the sublime beeping sound in the background will grow more insistent whenever you're getting close to a cache.
For a P&C to be successful though, besides having excellent art and quality voice acting which the game definitely has, the story has to be really good too. In this game, however, it does come across as a bit confusing. I mean, yes I get that the protagonist, the old guy, is looking for the original (probably first edition) book, but the "why" seems rather vague. At the end of the game, the guy wondered the same thing too.
The achievements here are generally quite easy to get but there are some trickier ones - I still couldn't figure out the password for the computer, for instance, even though I've found the clue.
Watch me play!
So, all in all, Like No Other is a pretty solid P&C that offers a short-ish experience. Considering the string of really great P&Cs I've played within the few months, this game does seem to fall a bit short when it comes to the storytelling. It's quite vague tbh. The game could have laid down the story's foundation a bit better.

If you like previous game "Wind Peaks", you will like this one. Same graphic style but more challenging than previous one. As you need to solve some puzzles in order to continue the game. Not just finding some items.
I wish the game was longer. You can finish it within 2 hours if you are fast.

A sweet, short, and charming adventure story from the developers who made Wind Peaks.
The art style is fantastic and the generally feel of the game is amazing.
Puzzles were fun to solve and the exploring the locations was fun.
Story is lacking a bit, I would have liked more details as to what the book was that we were getting, and why we wanted it in the first place.
Apart from that, this is a really great game to play.

Head out on a casual point & click adventure with Dan! I have enjoyed my time with this game so far. The graphics are great, the puzzles take a little thinking but nothing too over the top (so far). Listen out for the cache audio beeps if you want to find them all. Check out the first part of the game:
