This game is really fun, you should get it. But if you wanted to actually know something about it first, here's some stuff you might like to know:
- Running into walls doesn't kill you!
- You can turn around to shoot behind you whenever you want!
- I may not have a full understanding of it yet (so don't mind if I have some details wrong), but the power up system is neat! Everything you destroy emits energy towards your health, which in turn can be sacrificed towards powering up your main weapon or using a special or bomb attack. If you get hit, you power down, but you immediately have a choice of whether or not to try to regain more health or to retaliate by powering up at the cost of additional health. Basically, the game gives you options that are friendly towards new players, but also has a lot of room for advanced players to effectively bomb their way through whatever obstacles they want, and newer players may enjoy the "puzzle" element of figuring out when they really need to have a bomb ready to go and ensuring that they have the energy at the right time.
- Obviously made by Sega fans.
- Only $5USD! Cheap!
Bottom line, the game is friendly enough to be very accessible to players who might like the idea of horizontal shooters but often find them too difficult or unfair while also being interesting enough that expert shooter fans should play it just so they can argue about whether or not it's interesting. Pier Pressure is worth your time!

Really amazing indie shmup with many unexpected twists and turns! I'd absolutely recommend this game to those who might not even be into shmups. Can definitely guarantee that you'll still have lots of fun despite the constant dying.
Both the soundtrack and art are amazing! ♡♡

RAD! Has that juicy game-feel of Treasure Games - and a lot of the humor too. Interesting game design mechanics that are intuitive and fun to play with. Cool bosses!

I really enjoyed this game! The art direction is really cute looking and I'm always a sucker for pixel styles. The gameplay and mechanics are fun and in-depth while never being too much to handle (if you're playing on a controller like I did). There's only two problems I can say brings this game down, the short length being only 4 levels long and the high difficulty that follows even on the normal difficulty. Overall, this is a fun time that is worth the cheap price if you're a 2D spaceship shooter type games fan and I'm sad that this game isn't known very well despite being made by Headcannon of Sonic Mania fame. 4.5/5!
