This is a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game, meaning a specific genre of story-driven, point & click adventures. Throughout the game, players are tasked to find a list of objects hidden within a particular scene, and to occasionally complete various mini-games/puzzles.

I played this in 4.6 hours. It also has a bonus game. The game has good graphics and story to go with it. The puzzles were fairly easy, but, enjoyable. I skipped one puzzle because I didn't understand it, all the others were no problem. Purchased on steam sale!

Another wonderful adventure signed James Blackthorn. I just love this detective! My very first experience with him was the Haunted Hotel Room 18. I loved everything in that game. Now I like the idea of a Victorian house turned into a hotel and spa where your time is simply drained from your body to ensure the staff with their juicy immortality. Kind of like reminds me of childhood, especially Scooby-Doo: the Zombie Island direct-to-video movie. The two cat women that rejoice over visitors' lives. Yep, nostalgia coming right up. This game promises just that with a little twist taken from detective and sci-fi novels.
PROS:
- Awesome scenes;
- Nostalgia plot with a good beginning;
- Varied HOs and minigames;
- Handy Strategy guide;
- A few jumpscares;
- Main game + Bonus chapter + Secret room.
CONS:
- No journal entries;
- No fast-travelling map;
- No Steam achievements.
A clean HO game. As I said, it has the necessary plot ingredients to make a player become a detective and investigate the haunted hotel.
