Over the Alps
Agent, we have a mission for you: we need you in the Alps. Go undercover, evade the police, discern friend from foe.
Experience two thrilling stories from the minds of Jon Ingold (80 DAYS, HEAVEN’S VAULT) and Harry Tuffs (SUNLESS SKIES, HOUSE OF MANY DOORS), which will see you step back in time to WWII Switzerland’s awe-inspiring Alpine countryside inspired by vintage travel posters to complete your mission.
From a team with a pedigree of experience (FAILBETTER GAMES, INKLE STUDIOS), OVER THE ALPS features two independent stories with an additional third story coming soon. In addition to these free expansions, the new mechanical update, A Test of Character, adds an additional layer of intricacy to the police-pursuit mechanic, offering new ways to talk your way out of tricky situations along the road, depending on the traits you have developed during gameplay.
OVER THE ALPS is available in 15 languages including Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), German, Russian, French and Arabic; features controller support; and is available for both PC and Mac.

A beautiful and human adventure of living the life of a dashing spy, engaging with causes and consequences, and confronting fascism, You relate your progress to your enigmatic friend Aubrey, with postage stamps aligned with alternative paragraphs expressing competing aspects of your personality. Are you confrontational and aggressive, or cool and professional? Are you the debonair secret agent or the secretive cipher? Maybe you're a blending of these traits. Maybe you just really have a thing for goats. The two plots provided (with a third planned) offer copious opportunities to discover how you will prevail with dangerous espionage...

Entertaining non-linear, but still a bit linear, choice game about detectives in the Alps. Love to play this with my mum who doesn't understand half of what's happening. (I love her)

Beautifully written & sumptuously presented, nailing the film-noir vibe despite bright, attractive colours.

Shame this isn't more popular. Writing is on par with 80 Days, which is a huge achievement and makes sense since Jon Ingold is the lead writer. There were moments when I gasped and shouted in excitement at my screen, completely taken by what was happening.

Charming visuals, excellently written choose-your-own-adventure spycraft stories in a pre-war Switzerland. Sad that it's been abandoned and never got the third case it was supposed to, but given the price this game usually goes for these days, even the 5 hours its actual two cases deliver are a smashing deal.
My only regret is that it spent years on my wishlist and I've only tried it now.

Kinda Cozy, choose your own adventure spy romance.

Two visual novels with the occasional skill check from a trait collection system and with a lot of sauce (attention to detail and theming)
It's a shame we're probably not getting the third case
