Legend calls them the Ravenii, encroaching armies of bloodthirsty monsters standing 150 feet tall that threaten to destroy mankind. You are one of the world’s last Sentinels, a soldier named Avil equipped with the skills to battle the endless wave of Ravenii. Fight massive brutes and their minions across a sprawling countryside, defending cities and rescuing refugees torn from their homes. Swiftly define your strategy as hordes attack from the ground and air. Use a dynamic skill-based combat system to your advantage, tactically disarming and dismembering enemies to go in for the kill. This is no longer a war. It is an annihilation. And you are all that stands between humanity…and extinction.

I won't lie to you, my first maybe half hour into this game, I was having a blast. Cool idea (though half stolen), decently executed, and genuinely fun to play.
Just one problem, it's waaaayy too repetitive and I had to force myself to finish this thing.
Now, repetitive gameplay isn't always horrible if your game offers other cool things connected to said gameplay to invest yourself into like story, exploration, rewarding level-up or progression systems, or effectively motivating you to improve your skill as a player.
This game does none of these and just barely does the last point.
- The story absolutely sucks and is definitely not worth mentioning
- There's very little lore to explore and map-wise, you're more incentivized to dash through it than pay attention to it.
- The level-up system seems in-depth but is actually quite shallow and just doesn't feel very rewarding. it leaves you having to level up to not die or lose rather than actually making you feel cooler or stronger
- For the last point, there are already so many levels that are each basically the same that willingly redoing levels for a better time... just no, finishing the game is a chore as it is.
So, yeah, all this game has going for it is gameplay, and don't get me wrong, it's fun, it's just that it's the same exact thing each and every level with just tiny little tweaks as you progress through.
So, who this game is for:
Someone who just wants to pop open a level every now and again and just kill some giant monsters to wind down and turn your brain off.
Who this game is NOT for:
Literally anyone who wants to invest themselves in a fun or interesting game/experience.
6/10
Do I personally recommend it? Fat No. But, there is still an audience for this kind of game, so I won't hate on it too much, hence the thumbs up.
I'm also giving it as high as a 6 because it has some pretty good potential, even though it does kinda fall flat.

It was a nice game tbh. I think skills need improvement or an improvement to kill mobs. It seems a bit dull after a while and a repetative. For 5 euros(that i found it) i can say it's worth it. I do recommend it in this price. I liked the attack on titan vibes(because you kill giants). It was a bit challenging on some occasions that broke my nerves.

Received this as a gift. I played through chapter 5 of 7 and like the game for it's simple hack-n-slash nature. The story is okay but would have liked an intermediate area to talk to NPCs (world-building) and maybe a sword upgrade system to try and up the damage incrementally (with harder enemies to go with it). You go from mission to mission and the story fills in at the start of each mission (static dialog). The dialogue is skippable if you don't care about the story except for a few cases where they have to state something. I wish all dialogue was immediately skippable especially when restarting missions to try and complete all objectives. Combat is decent, not much to it with simple mechanics like attack, dodge, and your main ability (Rune Strike). Overall I'd give it a 6.5/10 and recommend it for a time-killer hack-n-slash. I'd value it around $30 so try to find it on sale.
What's good about it:
- Mindless hack and slash that fills a need when you just want to tear stuff apart.
- Large Attack on Titan like monsters you can slay and take apart with different types of armor.
What I didn't like:
- Some skills are locked as progression but should be mechanics you already know (like aerial recovery and dodge strike)
- Some dialogue is unskippable: annoying when repeating missions
- Targeting with main ability (Rune Strike) doesn't feel as fluid as I would have liked.
Would like to have seen:
- Better skippable dialogue
- Better Rune Strike - trigger as many times as you want in mid-air.
- Climb anything with a skill upgrade (climbing claws or something)
- Sword upgrade system
- Elements as part of the skill tree and toggleable modes in battle (switch to fire for this type of Ravenii etc.)
- More world building
- Xandra as a playable Sentinel with a different playstyle

Works well on Steam Deck. Only issueis cutscenes don't work.
Really fun. Better Attack on Titan style game than the real thing. Only criticism is mobs are not fun to fight because the combat against them is pretty clunky.
