Street Dreams is a minimal, fast-paced VR shooter set in a psychedelic dream world. Choose from a variety of weapons to defend yourself from oncoming opponents, gain points, and earn yourself a position on the global leaderboard!
Inspired by works such as Mad Max: Fury Road and Grand Theft Auto, Street Dreams places you in a high-speed car chase with the goal to wreak havoc on your pursuers.
Features
- Five unique weapons to use throughout each car chase – whether you want to maximise points, maintain high accuracy, or need to get yourself out of a tight situation – the gun you need is at an arm’s reach.
- Compete for the crown – Rack up as many points as possible to score the number one spot on the leaderboards.
- An intense, modern soundtrack to accompany your journey, from various producers and sub-genres.

Great game! Personally I liked dual wielding weapons. The game is both great for a chill play-through or if you're going for points/time and want to higher up on the Leader board. Personally my favourite gun was the Deagle. If you're looking for a good VR experience, then definitely worth buying!

Street Dreams is exactly what it says on the tin. You start at a interactive PC screen with many different customise-able options and game modes. Including levels (Portrayed as song titles), game modifiers (For example, infinite health, infinite ammo or a mounted mini-gun) and many different applications on the interactive PC for you to have a look through, including Easter-eggs and an endless mode. The great tunes, wide range of customisation through the modifiers and endless mode, give this faced-paced VR game endless hours of replay-ability and fun.
Street Dreams also includes a live leader board, Found by looking at the left wrist, like looking at a watch. Personally I love this as it gives the leader board a really immersive feel. However, This could be made more prominent. A message, or some tutorial text would do the job, just to let the player know it's there.
This game really does a great job of portraying its intended theme, an action-packed dream world. Reactive lighting, use of simplistic, yet vibrant art work, sound effects, animation and brilliant backing tracks really bring this dream world shooter close to its full potential.
Obviously all games have their flaws, and this one is no different. As I mentioned earlier, some sort of tutorial text would be handy, as this game likes to slap you straight into the action. Some times the path finding of the vehicles is slightly out of place, However this doesn't take away from the exciting game-play at all. Health pick-ups could be easier to grab. Starting PC screen could be clearer as well. All of these slight tweaks could very easily be sorted in an small update.
Overall, I really like this game. Action-packed, Fun and immersive are only a few words to describe this game. For the current sale price, Its a steal. Like I said previously, hours, upon hours of replay-ability. Even for the full price, I'd still recommend this game to anyone with a VR head set, and an appreciation for immersive virtual reality. My rating as a VR game, 4/5. With issues fixed and future updates this could really be up there. There is room for improvement, new features and the expand-ability for this game is endless. I look forward to future updates and features, as I will continue to play Street Dreams.

The game is good fun, but can get repetitive quickly. I personally am a big fan of the music choices for the levels, and shots/physics are satisfying. The one gripe with the game is the health/damage system. Currently, there is one of two problems; enemies deal too much damage, or there are not enough health pickups spawning. Normal 2-3 minute levels are fine, but trying to complete the 10 (and God forgive the 20) minute endless runs just seems impossible with the current state of how quickly your health drains.
6.5/10 (Pick it up if it's on sale)

I like this game. It may be simple but all good old school arcade shooters are. And for a game made by a single person, its pretty sweet.
I did the retro looking graphics that have a whif of Pistol Whip for inspiration without being a copy.
I really dug the loading menu that mimics an old crt computer monitor. Took me right back to my childhood.
I look forward to seeing how this title progresses with future updates and/or DLC.
