If you're a fan of Project Diva, this is definitely a game you need. I call this an "affectionate knockoff" of Project Diva, since the on-screen display is basically identical. Since the official game no longer has a sanctioned level editor, Project Heartbeat aims to pick up where it left off. In addition to traditional console style, you can now make your own arcade style charts, with multi-buttons and slides. Since the game is still in early access, it's a bit rough around the edges - the editor itself has a habit of crashing when you try to fine-tune placements and angles, but it does have a relatively frequent autosave that triggers when you test-play the chart. I have to stress that this isn't for everyone - unless you're into this kind of game, and your rhythm game chops are in tip-top shape, this may or may not be a good starting point since a lot of the custom charts tend to skew towards the higher end of the difficulty curve. You need to git gud if you want to play this seriously. But if you are into this kind of game, it'll be the best $10 you'll ever spend.

I'll start off by saying I absolutely love the premise of this game. Haven't played a ton but as a veteran project diva player this is perfect. Only thing I wish to add is ever since the PC Release of MM+ I started playing with keyboard (yes we exist, all 5 of us) and using the shift buttons as sliders. Unfortuneatly this game does not feature separate left and right shift and it DESPERATELY needs to have that feature added not only for separate buttons but for macro support as well

Bought this as one of the options of a fanatical bundle for like $1.50. I thought it was pretty cool that it said it was eurobeat based but didnt expect much. It lowkey broke my expectations, feels like if you the hatsune miku project diva games and turned into an osu version.
Theres only a few songs in there, and eurobeat which are pretty good but if you don't like eurobeat the selection might not be for you. BUT, a big factor in here is that it has full workshop support so like osu you can download new skins, songs and all that. Does have a lot of songs available to download, however some of them is messed up rn due to incorrect yt links but the devs said back in january it is being worked on.
All in all I got it for a steal, but even still this early access press is well worth your money. Definitely check it out if you love the project diva games!

The game is very awesome but the editor is annoying, At any moment it closes, and I don't see any option to put an autosave, I lost almost half of a song I was editingAt any moment it closes, and I don't see any option to put an autosave, I lost almost half of a song I was editing.
Good for Playing and downloading songs and a little bad for editing songs

As an enjoyer of the Project Diva series, this game has been a fun one to play, the workshop stuff works really well and I hope this game gets some more attention! <3

its literally just project diva megamix+ but with less storage needed and old note types (heart and sustain)
instead of having both the game AND mods take up all of my storage, its now just the mods
if i knew about this before buying megamix, id go for this <3

I got this thinking it would be a cheap knock of Project Diva but it ended up being a kinda Project Diva with the custom maps and skins features of OSU which was very nice
This also adds back the standard flicks of F/F 2nd (not the tech lines but still)
Game also has this wonderfull option to link to the offical Project Diva and play the maps from it WITHOUT the videos which makes it so much easier to play them
Multiplayer also worked fine in the game i played with my mate who talked me into buying it
What I played the game is good and builds onto Project Diva
