fun game, played solo and beat it easily. hoard mode is fun too. i'm not the biggest fan of puzzles, but only a few puzzles were required to advance. smooth game and good graphics. on sale, it's a good deal.

Normally,I don't like puzzle-type games. But Strange Brigade really has a different experience. After playing this game,I started to love puzzles. The game is really funny and very beautiful. It is a better game, especially with friends and a full team of 4 people.I would definetely recommend the Extreme challenge, and those bulls that were constantly running at you had me throwing a tantrum.I would not recommend buying the game at its current price. But if it goes on sale,I suggest you buy the full version.Good games

It's literally just a more puzzle focused Indiana Jones/The Mummy themed re-skin of Rebellions previous Zombie Army games.
Except now T-rated, so no blood or gore. This means no X-ray shots, which are the biggest staple of Sniper Elite and Nazi Zombie Army. Without that gimmick it's just a mediocre shooter. Not bad, not great.
Is it worth playing? Not for what it goes off sale for, $49,99. If you can get it under $5, it's a fun pass time.
Also, be warned, this is from near the start of Rebeliions egregious DLC practices of locking almost all content behind a paywall, and yes, a ton of things are re-used from Zombie Army and Sniper Elite, including weapons, animations, etc., INCLUDING some of the DLC content, just like their newer games all do.

A game that you don't hear much about but is really fun. A bit like Left For Dead and Nazi Zombie Army in 3rd person game play. A good coop game to play with friends. The graphics are nice and looting is addictive. lots of action and enemies to kill. Some really nice screenshot views of jungle landscapes and even the pyramids. It's got that classic Indiana Jones type vibe. Treasures, mysterious crypts and dungeons to explore and discover. Surprisingly nostalgic and an overall good time.

Strange Brigade - a game where you and up to three friends embark on a pulpy, treasure-hunting adventure filled with undead mummies, deadly traps, and a narrator roasts you mid-battle.
The gunplay is solid, with a mix of rifles, shotguns, and mystical amulets that let you blast enemies with supernatural force. Levels are sprawling and filled with hidden rooms, light puzzles, and treasure to collect. The enemies are varied enough to keep things interesting, and the overall presentation is charmingly.
While it shines in co-op, solo players might find the experience a bit repetitive. Combat encounters start to blend together, and the puzzles rarely challenge beyond "shoot this thing" or "pull this lever." The story, while fitting the pulpy aesthetic, is mostly just there to justify sending you from one ancient ruin to another.
The game’s environments are bursting with vibrant color, from sun-drenched Egyptian ruins to lush, overgrown temples. The lighting and shadow work enhance the eerie atmosphere, making tombs feel mysterious and dangerous. While the graphics may not push the boundaries of modern technology, the art direction more than makes up for it.
Strange Brigade is a fun, lighthearted shooter that thrives on its co-op experience. If you have friends to join you, it’s a blast. If you’re playing alone, it might feel more like a boring expedition rather than an unforgettable adventure.

I love this game, especially since I got it on what I assume was an accidental sale of $2. It's easily worth double that.
In a world where every shooter is laden with gross zombies, it's refreshing to finally shoot some that are desiccated. Strange Brigade also takes on a golden-age-of-cinema storytelling theme with a bombastic narrator, black-and-white cut scenes, and colorful cast of adventurers plumbing ancient Egyptian themed catacombs in search of buried treasure.
It's a refreshing setting to be sure, but what of the gameplay itself? It's a fairly standard 3rd-person shooter that seems designed for 4-player co-op but functions just as well as a botless single-player experience. You've got guns with different stats and hordes of enemies to mow down. There's right-click to aim down the sights, and linear level progression with somewhat straightforward "puzzles" and secret rooms to keep things from becoming too rote. The boss battles, although not revolutionary, are noteworthy and interesting. There's nothing to specifically dislike except for the auto-sprint function that can't be disabled or toggled.
If not for the unique setting and framing device, it wouldn't offer anything new. However, it's a solid shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously, which, somehow despite the glut of games out there, is a novel enough reason to dump a few hours into it without regret.
