«Urban Cards» Review(En/RUS)
Gameplay:
«Review(En):»
This is a mixture of board and card games. You put cards on the board to get maximum profit and ruin your competitor. Each new game, cards, events are randomly generated (Roguelike).
The board is divided into special zones. You place a business building in the middle (BIZ generate income), place Henchmen under them (they can attack a competitor and his henchmen), and place workers at the very bottom (earn money for you). There are also special Actions и Objects cards (turn henchmen into workers, generate additional income, etc.).
+ Unique style and mechanics.
+ Beautiful hand-drawn graphics.
+ High-quality animation.
+ Great music and sounds.
+ Simple mouse control.
+ Addictive gameplay.
+ Each new game will be special (random generation).

Giving it a recommend, but, with a warning; this is not a relaxed, casual game, and you kind of have to have a mix of developed skill and luck with the RNG. Some wins may come easy, but, more often than not, it's going to be a close run thing.
That said, yes, it's a really good card battler, and aside from being brutally difficult, at times, I've spent 16 hours playing at this point, and have no intent of stopping soon.
Update : 59 hours played, and currently trying to beat it with every deck type. So far, I'm up to.... umm.. 1.

I love the artwork and gameplay. I dont love how the hacker boss is basically unbeatable.

TL;DR: Urban Cards is a turn-based business management deck builder with stunning visuals and fantastic audio. The gameplay loop consists of building and protecting your business while hiring workers with unique abilities to support your growing wealth-gathering machine. With great opportunities for strategy, and such an immersive game world, the only thing that could doom this game would be inaction on the part of the devs. Overall, a great addition to any lover of deck-builders collection and I’m very interested to see the direction this game takes in the future. 8/10
New player experience: The tutorial here is fairly short, and explains the rules of the game well. Most basic strategy will be learned by the player via gameplay as the tutorial mainly only covers game rules. The game doesn’t mess around early on, and new players should expect to have their bad decisions catch up to them quickly. Overall, the rules are simple enough that it doesn’t require much learning, but don’t expect any hand-holding.
Audio: Amazing audio experience. With colorful voice lines from almost every card, to a wonderful backing soundtrack, simply listening to the game is a treat.
Visuals: The visuals in Urban Cards are quite nice in my opinion. Beautiful and evocative art present on each card, with an environment brimming with character. The cartoony style might not be for everyone but if you enjoy that style you’ll love looking over all the characters and environments this game has to offer.
Engagement: Urban Cards is a turn based deck builder. It does a great job of catering to strategic gameplay, and your decisions certainly do matter. You slowly build up your businesses and workers in an attempt to out-earn or bankrupt your opponent. However, as it is a turn based deck builder, there will be times where you’re not in active gameplay and will be forced to watch as the AI takes its turn.
Depth: Currently Urban Cards is in early access and has 3 factions to play. These factions have a reasonably large selection of cards to unlock, but if the game were to reach full release with no further content, I would consider it a bit disappointing. Assuming the devs add a faction or two more with new cards to match by release along with some alternate game modes, things should be fine. Just know that at present you’re more in it for the core game loop than making significant unlockable progress over time.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
-Beautiful art and audio
-New take on the deck builder formula
-Lots of room to grow
-Engaging strategic gameplay
Cons:
-Gameplay can stall at times
-More depth of content is needed for a complete game
Why play this over another game: If you like deck builders, this game does something never before done in the genre. It combines the space management and minion fighting that is similar to Monster Train, but adds the business and money element that I haven’t seen before. It is integrated well, and fits smoothly into the formula. As a take on the deck builder genre, this game is a smashing success.
Future Prospects: If updated consistently, this game can go down as one of the deckbuilding greats. It feels much more likely to succeed than fail at present, and only bad decisions and stagnation from the devs could kill the experience.

it is fun but there is just not much here. it have very little replayability if they had an endless mode or more locked cards this game could be really fun. as it stands its fun until you have done everything. and for me playing 11 hours to milk everything out of this game is not much. Alot of my time was just afking as well. But besides the value not being worth it it is a fun game and it is well polished and balanced. if you have money to burn give it a try.
EDIT:
i changed my review from a dislike to a like because the game updated and it looks like it will keep updating so it have the potental to have alot more gameplay
