Main character didn't give birth in the first 2 hrs of the game and that made me greatly saddened. I decided to push past that in hopes that at some point during the great console war that the beautiful main character would spread her legs and push out a baby. alas, after 50hrs of game play and all the achievements I can say that this, in fact, doesn't happen and I am filled with a great depression my only hope is that the second game Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 will give me the birth that I greatly desire!!!

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 is a Medium-Length JRPG (20-50 hours) with Visual Novel Elements.
It features just adorable, god-tier characters and art, with graphics reminiscent of the early PS3 era. However, the gameplay may become somewhat grindy midway through.
Its writing basically ignores the 4th wall, revolves a lot around parodying gaming/anime-ish tropes, and the cast members teasing each other.
Could be a bit hit-or-miss depending on if the humor is up your alley and your knowledge about the former tropes. I've enjoyed it a whole lot and found it genuinely funny.
There's not much fanservice per se, it's rather wholesome,
pretty light-hearted, and charming - the perfect guilty pleasure.
The english dub was great, too. Can't wait to check out the sequels!
Oh, and here's some tips: You can change the direction of your attack with your D-Pad, and skip battle animations by holding your left shoulder button and pressing the confirm button - you're welcome.

The RPG equivalent to Lucky Star. The first entry into a very interesting series

Don't be fooled by the cute anime girls and fourth-wall-breaking antics. This is a surprisingly deep and grind-heavy RPG experience that will chew you up and spit you out if you take it lightly. It's obviously not going to be to everyone's tastes - some will be put off by the amount of required grinding, some will be put off by all the jiggly anime boobs, and some will be put off by Neptune being essentially the Japanese equivalent of Deadpool - but if you enjoy (or can look past) all three of those things, you'll find a very engaging RPG that you can easily get 100+ hours of playtime out of.

Honestly decent game. Pretty standard in terms of mechanics and story, but it does it well. Completion gets a bit grindy without DLC (and one of the achievements is basically impossible without DLC or cheats), but that's also kind of standard in the genre. IIRC it's not super made for mouse and keyboard, but there are plenty of games like that.
I didn't know when getting this game (from a game bundle) how *cough* suggestive it'd be, but half of that is my own fault sooooo oops haha
