How would Sindbad and his band of ne’er-do-wells fare against Medusa and the three Furies? The answers to those questions, and more, can be found with a quick game of Unmatched!
What is Unmatched?Unmatched: Digital Edition is a tactical game where two opponents command their Hero and their Sidekick(s) on a set battlefield. The rules are simple. The actions are within the contained decks of cards, and the replayability is immense!
- Each player has to perform two actions a turn.
- Actions are: move and draw a card, attack or play a power (called scheme).
- Attacking (and defending) and using schemes is done with cards.
- Some attacks and schemes can only be used by either your Hero or their sidekick.
- When your Heroine (or Hero) drops to 0 health you lose the game.
Every Hero (or Heroine) has their unique ability, movement characteristic, and total health points set. The sidekick(s) can either have their own health pool or be weak one-hit-KO chaff (and probably can be resummoned to the battlefield).
What makes Unmatched great?Unmatched is one of those easy-to-learn games with an incredible amount of depth. The tactical insight and knowledge of your (and your opponent’s) Hero will determine the outcome of every fight. The individual games will be quick – but they will all be different as well! The greatest strength of Unmatched is its tactical depth – your decisions will be crucial – and the randomness factor is minimized and can be controlled further with players’ skill.

This reboot feels so much better than the OG, hope it truly gets the love a digital version of this board game truly deserves. Only thing I would LOVE to see is a multiplayer mode on one device, like a steamdeck you can just pass on. Right now it only has challenge maps (thanks for that, still need to check it out but more is always better) and a much more intuitive VS computer besides the ONLINE MP.
Keep up the great work, going to keep a close eye on this new version!

The old version of this game was already entertaining, but the improvements made by Dire Wolf makes it so much more playable! One of the best board/card game of the last years. Support the board, physical game; and support this digital version just as much!! There will be more fighters down the line, and already with 12 different decks with unique playstyles you have hours on top of hours of fun!

Awesome game, even in its current state (beta) is really fun. If u already like unmatched its a must buy, if never played unmatched but you like any sorts of card game, u should definitely try this one.

Really like this game.
Currently Medusa is op and can win all the games when played optimally. I think this game would benefit if you could ban certain characters before game.
Also game strategy heavily depends on how many cards your opponent has, I would like to see number near opponents hand so I wouldn't have to count them myself.

Feels great. Although it is beta, the game is very smooth and I haven't encountered any bugs so far. I get the same feeling as playing unmatched IRL which is great. The challenges are also quite interesting.
Looking forward to adding more heroes to the game.

It's unmatched the boardgame but now it's a video game! It's animated, it's got sounds, it's got cards, you name it and... well it might have it or idk it might not, that's just how things work.
