7 Girls War is a lewd, turn-based RPG about a jeweler who joins a goddess on a quest to close the gates which separate heaven and earth to prevent an apocalypse.
Note: this article is a FRACTION of the full review. To read the whole article (including commentary and ratings), be sure pay my site a visit.
Gameplay
The primary goal of the game is to close seven “World Gates” by completing a web of quests. There are seven characters to recruit, each of which playing an integral part in the story. The main questline is far from linear; without referring to a strategy guide, it’s easy to get lost and recruit your party out of order. Thankfully, there’s a safety net to insure matching levels with your foes is a snap! By approaching enemies from behind, you’re able to defeat them without engaging turn-based combat. Each character has a special skill, such as the ability to automatically heal after combat or reveal hidden treasure while exploring. Everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses, and a suite of skills specific to them. Even like-characters are different enough to find share a place on your team. For example, though Sara and Cossete fulfill healing niches, neither can wholly replace each other; Sara provides defensive buffs and holy-type offense, and Cossete offers team healing and elemental offensive buffs. Unfortunately, combat leaves a lot to be desired. Due to the non-linear gameplay, chances are you’ll face enemies that are poorly balanced for your team (whether they be too weak or too strong). It seemed like no matter how tough my team was, bosses remained spongy from start to finish. Boss fights suck — they have so many hit-points, it’s better to hit “auto” and grab a drink. I had the most fun when “automatic” wasn’t a button I could press.
Sexual Content
There appears to be roughly sixty-four sex-scenes. Each scene is comprised of a single CG, with variations for undress, progression and climax. I saw about one sex-scene per hour, but from what I gather from the 7 Girls War Walkthrough they occur more often once you complete the “normal ending”. They typically occur by completing quests. Each female protagonist has a tragic backstory that involves sextortion, rape and/or humiliation. Unfortunately, they don’t offer much in regards to erotic content (they are just kind of mentioned). There are a few sexual game-over screens, but most enemies don’t offer sex-scenes when they defeat your party. The main protagonist, Rolan is no rapist — well, maybe just a teensy tiny bit — but he’s usually more a victim than a villain. When his companions want to “thank” him, they don’t let him refuse! 7 Girls War starts tame with blowjobs and offhand penetration, but as the game progresses there are kinkier things to see; I saw tentacles; hypnosis and transformation; and gangbangs! There’s also secret outfits in the game, providing sexy alternatives to the protagonists’ default clothing (and doubling as powerful equipment for battle).
Verdict
I’ve had enough of this game. I’m sorry StudioDobby, but I think I’ve reached the end of my patience. It’s hilarious how they admit what’s fundamentally wrong with the game, yet acted against fixing the problems (presumably to tout as “features”). In their “Walkthrough”, they say “it is VERY NORMAL to find yourself stuck” because of “the complexity of the game.” I think that it is VERY ABNORMAL to expect players to “look it up” whenever they’re unable to progress — that’s game design. You’re encouraged to “finish whatever else you can do” until you happen upon the main questline “at some point in the future.” To be fair, this how I progressed as far as I did in the game, but I wound up wasting hours of my time. If you complete every quest as they come, you may find that they have more in common than you think. By traveling from city to city, you’ll find something to do (or at least another reason to wander aimlessly). Many quests are time sensitive, requiring that you sleep or complete other missions so that enough time will elapse. Unfortunately, this only adds another problem to the game — it’s insulting to be told to “come back later” when there’s seemingly nothing else to do. The balancing is awful: if you complete the main questline in the correct order, you won’t have to perform an unreasonable amount of grinding. If you don’t read the Walkthrough, you’ll face enemies that are too weak or too strong. I’m dissatisfied with this game, but I think it’s a niche experience some gamers may enjoy. This is a game that asks you to take notes; there are no waypoints, markers or “history logs of dialogue”. It’s up to you to follow your leads, and keep an eye out for new NPCs.

If you follow the guide, it eliminates a lot of confusion of not knowing where to go, since there's no quest marks and the likes. Great game though, with decent art. it's mostly vanilla (except the rare few when it's not). Have fun playing the game! I sure am!
After finishing the game:
I feel empty once again. The game is great at filling the void temporarily. 30+ hours well spent!

It look ok for RPG style, story seem interesting, however game system didn't help you at all
You will keep getting lost didn't know where to go
Although in game will let you know you still have some quest on going, however it won't update that quest and if you miss some dialog you won't know where should you go anymore

A surprisingly great HRPG for those who enjoy classic style JRPGs.
7 Girls War is a game about a forbidden love between gods and humans that fractures their worlds into two. Thousands of years later though mysterious gates around the world begin to open causing entire villages to disappear. In the game you play as Rolan, the sole survivor of his village after their gate opens. A voice calls to you and leads you to freeing a beautiful blonde goddess who tells you the gates must be stopped from opening. Thus you to journey out to save the world.
The game definitely has a slow start in the beginning but once it gets going I found it to be very enjoyable. Probably the biggest thing to know before buying the game is that it is structured like a very old school JRPG where you are given almost no direction of where to go or who to speak to at any time. You can often wander for hours before finding out what to do. The game does come pre-installed with a guide in its' data files though so if you are ever too lost or don't want to figure it out you can always open that up and check.
As far as the H-content goes there is definitely a lot of scenes to unlock. They can also be a bit difficult to figure out how to unlock though so if you really wanna get them all make sure to check the guide. The CGs are well illustrated with a wide variety of content in them that should make everyone of every interest a little happy.
If you'd like to see a more in depth look at the game I have a short video review over on YouTube.

This is such a great game!
The transition of events from where you would have to go place to place, some may call it a nuisance but it makes me feel that I am actually playing and adventuring the game!
It's definitely not autopilot, so it can get a bit frustrating and you may end up getting lost for several minutes but that is definitely oldschool rpg elements! This game is very engaging!
Combat isn't too heavy mechanical but the idea that there are advanced monsters in each dungeon gives it more life! Not a simple autopilot spam game with no threats as you must make 1 of 2 decisions: avoid them or try to gain the advantage which is extremely difficult!
Characters not only have unique roles in combat such as Tank / Mage / Support etc but they have a role on the world map too. Using a party leader system, Healers can sustain and recover your team after combat, the thief can detect hidden items and unveil minibosses, Supportives can slow enemy movement etc!
Story definitely has worth and value point and the character developments are very nice! Meet a waifu, do their arc, learn more about them! Its kinda uncommon-to-rare for character developments in RPGmaker games.
Game has crazy post-content! Im 14 hours in and the adventure keeps going! This game is gold, the real deal and a true rpg!
*Edit: 56hours due to some minor errors so make sure to have separate save files! Game was amazing enough to get me to replay from beginning to recreate saves for low occurence bugs. Maybe im the only unlucky 1

Game Overview :
A legend passed down for generations says when the world is in peril, seven legendary heroes will come together to face evil and save the world.
Nyanco's Comments :
Experience classic open-ended exploration with 7 heroines! ヽ(´• ω •`)、
7 Girls War. This game is an adventure game made by StudioDobby(スタジオドビー). It is one of the hottest Japanese doujin games released in 2019. It's certainly welcome that Kagura Games can globally release this game on Steam. Additional content is included on platforms other than Steam by default, but if you are playing the Steam version, you should apply the patch from the official site above. Of course, if you are only interested in pure classic JRPG, just go ahead without the patch.
The game has a story about saving the world's crisis with seven heroines. The future of the world and the fate of heroines are up to you. Gameplay features freely selectable scenarios. In other words, you can experience and select the heroine first you would like to enjoy. There are about 80 H events, and voice acting is supported. Each heroine has multiple endings (normal, true, bad), and unique costume outfits for them. If you enjoy all the content, the play time will be over 30 hours surprisingly. This game is definitely worth it.

Nice storyline, good graphics, but one thing I HATE is how the quest have no update as to where you need to go to in the options menu. If you miss some details, or don't have the right timeline up to date, you miss out and have to repeatedly search areas for links to the next events.
