The Crackpet Show
🔫 JOIN US ON DISCORD 🔫
Are you ready to get famous? If so, grab your gun and join the most violent TV show in the history of violent TV shows! Participants will have to shoot, smash and rip through hundreds of enemies on their way to victory!
Don’t be discouraged by THE GIANT BOSSES that are more than capable of turning your innards outwards – just grab the best perks and weapons along the way. Make your gun spew molten lava all over the floor, turn yourself into a berserker, and let your bullets bounce between enemies! All these things stack, so you have every opportunity to turn your furry warrior into a raging death machine.
You’ll still die, though. That’s just how life is, even for those who wield a rail gun. But who cares about death when your audience loves YOU? Unlike real life, here you can make good use of the likes you receive.
Use your new-found fame to help upgrade every item and every perk to deal even more damage when you head out again. Oh, don’t worry about getting bored: every episode of the show is randomized so you’ll never have the same run twice in-a-row.
And, when you are completely done with show business, invite your friends and party-up with co-op mode with up to four players! Play smart and synergize with the team or bash their teeth in when they will try to steal your power-ups: every dirty trick in the book is valid, and every strategy works as long as you are having fun.
So, are you ready to sign the contract?
Rogue-lite Shoot’em-up
There are tons of enemies, dozens of weapons, lots of perks and items, randomized drop and map layouts, as well as carnivorous bosses for you to test your ability to beat the game with in-game items
The most bizarre TV Show
It’s cute. It’s colorful. It’s everything you love about old-school gore cartoons. This is your only opportunity to make a pink rabbit into a harbinger of death. Do not miss it!
Play solo or co-op
Play the game solo or get your friends to play with you, create elaborate tactics or mess around and try to steal your friend’s items and power-ups. The goal is to have fun and get famous, not to sit down crunching numbers. Though it’s also a thing if you are into it.

Genre - Roguelike Gunner.
+ Happy Tree Friends! do, de, do, de, do, de, do.
+ Progression is there and it's fun to play.
+ Enemies and power ups are varied.
- Shame there isn't an online mode.
- Voices are minimal and music is awful.
+/- I haven't tried local co-op yet, but it's an option that looks fun if I had friends.

The mix of cute characters and extreme violence in The Crackpet Show creates an experience that’s hard to forget, I love the Happy Tree Friends vibe. The roguelike mechanics keep things exciting, with different weapons and power-ups making each playthrough feel fresh. The game runs smoothly on the Steam Deck, but the random upgrades can sometimes feel unfair, especially if you end up with weaker ones during a good run. The art style and soundtrack fit the gameplay perfectly. There's a co-op ability I haven't explored yet, but I imagine it adds an extra layer of fun to the game, you should definitely try it with friends. I highly recommend purchasing this title it's incredibly enjoyable!

Funny game with happy tree friends vibe. The first impression is positive but the fact that you don't need to aim makes it less skill based as I am used to. But hey it looks fun and different, so thumbs up.

*This is for both the game and the Happy Tree Friends Edition DLC.* Finally, an actually good Happy Tree Friends game, sort of. The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition is a fun indie roguelite shooter that's clearly inspired by classic twin-stick shooters like Smash TV. It's not amazing however, even to a HTF fan like me. We will get into that shortly.
Pros:
- Fun, engaging gameplay
- Unique enemies and variety
- Crude, but charming art-style
- Unique guns and items that are fun to use
- Solid controls
- Sponsor and Perk systems are intriguing
- Good mechanics
- Interesting boss fights
- Rougelite mechanics help keep the game fresh
- Runs great
- Good voice acting
- Great price
- Lot of classic characters return
- Some of the original voice actors seemingly came back to reprise their roles, which is great
- Artwork for the characters are good
- Death animations are neat callbacks to the show
- Lumpy as the host is a nice touch
Cons (mostly nitpicks):
- Shooting mechanics are a bit odd to get used to
- Some of the controls are a bit odd to get used to as well
- Didn't care for the demonic stuff like the 'Evil Goat' character and the 'Devil's Arsonist' item, but at least they're not required
- There could have been more than three seasons in this game
- Some of the enemies can be really annoying
- Characters like Flippy/Fliqpy, Disco Bear, Pop & Cub, Mime, The Mole, Truffles, Lammy & Mr. Pickles, Buddhist Monkey, and Russel are missing
- Other than the voice lines that are new to this game, the HTF characters still have the default voice lines from the game when they're hurt, healed, etc.
- The final boss is just the Parrot Host from the base game; they could have had Fliqpy be the final boss
- Bosses are just the ones from the game, no characters like Splendon't or enemies from the whole Ka-Pow! spinoff series
- Other than the characters being from Happy Tree Friends, it still has the same stages and bosses from the base game
In a nutshell, even though I'm glad Happy Tree Friends is back and it could have never collaborated with a more fitting game than The Crackpet Show, I feel like it was a little bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong, the DLC and the game are both pretty fun, but I felt like they could've done more with this rather than just having some classic HTF characters be playable. At least it was better than Happy Tree Friends: False Alarm. Good thing I already bought the game and DLC on both GOG and Steam so I can support the show and have a DRM-free copy of the game on top of the copy I have on Steam. I still recommend buying and playing this game and DLC if you love Happy Tree Friends like I do, and you just want to support the show while getting a surprisingly good indie shooter.

The Crackpet Show is a delightfully bizarre and entertaining multiplayer game that puts players in control of eccentric creatures competing in absurd challenges. With its colorful and quirky art style, it offers a whimsical backdrop for chaotic gameplay. Each Crackpet boasts unique abilities, adding layers of strategy and hilarity to the competition. While its controls may feel clunky at times, the game's charm and humor shine through, creating memorable moments for players. The variety of challenges and customization options keep the experience fresh and engaging. The Crackpet Show is a must-play for those seeking offbeat multiplayer fun with friends.

Fast-paced gore-splattered fun! I just wish the music was louder and in the same vein as the promotional videos.
