There are places where it could be more polished, but overall, especially if you like Zelda Minish Cap, this is a fun game clearly made with passion.

Wow, this is a great little Zelda style action RPG! It's short and sweet, but packed with solid gameplay and fun little secrets to find. It's kind of sad less that less than 20% of users have beaten the final boss, given that you can see and do everything here in about 10 hours. This is a game that starts out as difficult as it's ever going to be, then gradually becomes easier as you upgrade your gear and character. If you are having a hard time, just power through the first hour or two, I promise it's worth it.
I only really had two gripes with this one. Monster and boss design is pretty unremarkable, with 90% of enemies being completely forgettable, while the other 10% only stand out for being annoying. Exploration is this game's greatest strength and combat isn't outright bad, so mediocre enemies don't really hurt the experience all that much. What did pull me out more than a few times was the script, which tilts dangerously close to "millennial writing". The dialogue tries to keep to a lite, whimsical tone, but too many characters end up sounding like either twitter users or a male redditor imitating a teenage girl. That's harsh criticism, but honestly this isn't anywhere near as obnoxious as something like Borderlands 3 or Forspoken. It just wore me down a bit towards the end, as you have to talk to pretty much all the NPCs to find clues towards the game's secrets.
Anyway, great game, absolute recommend, pick it up if you like Zelda and haven't played this one yet.

A little bit jank, and possible to get stuck in a few spots, but overall this was a very charming retro zeldalike. I had a pretty good time! I see the dev has a bunch of projects on itch.io that used the same engine, and I'm tempted to give one of them a try after this

Loved this game. Pretty pixelated graphics, fairly simple quests, reasonably achievable achievs, and absolutely hilarious dialogue. And it has a female protag!
I played closer to 26 hrs (i have a pic showing 26.6 hrs at game close) but I think the time went down due to some funky save mechanics. Oh well, didn't affect my gameplay.
The game is pretty casual, and while there is no option for a difficulty level up front, there is a place in-game where you can "curse" yourself to make it harder if you want.
It's listed as playable on deck bc it sometimes show non-steamdeck controller icons (I never saw any, but I played the first half of the game on PC). I will say that while I had to rebind to play on PC, I was able to play on deck with no modifications. It ran beautifully on both platforms.
I got this on sale as part of a bundle with potion permit, and I'm so glad I did bc it was exactly what I was looking for. Honestly, this is worth it even at full price. I've bought 15 dollar games with far less substance than this. I'd pay 15 for the dialogue alone lol

A fun, sort of Zelda-like, game that doesn't outstay its welcome!
