Slay enemies with speed and precision in an over-the-top show of blood and explosions. Play solo or with others, make split-second decisions, dodge bullets, and use weapons and abilities to inflict violence in the most graphic way possible.

A very good and challenging game. At the end i was about to throw my keyboard out the window tho...the last boss is straight of out dark souls :D

It's fun in split screen. Gameplay is OK. Story could be better.

pretty easy hotline miami type game. theres a coop mode for it, and its probably one of the only hm inspired game out there that has coop. audio mixing is pretty poor tho, cranked every setting to full and could barely hear anything. flamethrower guys were awful to deal with with no gun. most of the game is pretty easy, you can just run forward and spam m1 like a maniac and usually get out perfectly fine, rooms are small enough to be able to facilitate that playstyle. pretty fun game overall

Had an absolute blast playing this in coop.
The graphics could be better, the story is a bit... sparse, and the balancing between the two characters is a bit off, with one being noticably more powerful at the start. And the camera could be better - dashing towards the edge of the screen and getting killed from something almost next to you aht you could just not see is not that fun.
On the plus side, it's a really fast-paced game that felt hard, but not punishing.
Both the levels and the boss fights were varied enough. Boss fights were challenging but felt well designed and were absolute fun. The levels include some interesting puzzles and allow different approaches, and fighting through them together just was an absolute blast.
The coop-aspect is also really well done in my opinion. There is no continuing when your partner is dead, some passages require at least some thinking and clever use of both characters abilities to make it through, and overall it's impossible for just one player to just waltz through the game - it really felt like both are needed and that there is a good reason to play together. And the soundtrack just rocks.
Not sure how much fun it would be to play this alone, but in coop it has been a while since I had so much fun playing a game.

God's Trigger is a top-down shooter where you control an angel and a demon, each with its own moves, attacks and skills. Sometimes it feels a bit more arcade, some other times it feels like Hotline Miami. You definitely need to plan your attacks before jumping in. There's a lot of blood and gore, which is generally awesome, and fits perfectly here.

Played solo on SteamDeck. I liked the feel and the flow of the game. Some of the boss battles I could do without (in particular the final boss, due to long wait times between attacks), but otherwise I had fun. 7/10

I like top-down shooter. I started probably with Crimsonland twenty years ago and since then I played some of them (Hotline Miami, Hong Kong Massacre, 12 Is Better Than 6 just to name a few). God's Trigger is another great one. Not so punishing as Hotline Miami due to autosave during the levels but still challenging. Game mechanics are similar to other top down shooters but there are upgrades and perks for each character. Overall, it is very entertaining, fast pace action game.
