Altitude
Blast your way across the cartoon skies in this fast-paced game of aerial combat. Nimbly Games has crafted an instantly accessible, rewardingly deep, and ravishingly fun multiplayer action game. The sirens have sounded, bogies are coming in hot…
Jump into the fast and agile Loopy and drop your enemies from the sky with a tactical EMP blast – but hit your afterburners before your Biplane support tears them to pieces with 20mm cannons blazing! Barrel roll through the enemy minefield and arm your nuke as you enter the drop zone. There it is – the enemy base – but two Mirandas just warped in with lasers hot and an Explodet is lumbering into position over their hangar decks — will you carry your team to victory?
Multiplayer Done Right: Altitude combines Call-of-Duty style perks with the gameplay variety of Team Fortress 2 in a fresh multiplayer experience. Carefully refined controls, netcode, and balance make for hundreds of hours of deep, rewarding gameplay.
Seven Engaging Game Modes:
- Plane Ball’s constant action makes it a favorite among new and casual players while team-based tactical maneuvers like passing and blocking provide a fun challenge for veterans.
- Team Base Destruction offers an intense, competitive experience where coordinated pushes and strategic loadout decisions turn the tide. Try a friendly pickup game or join a clan and play in the “Altitude ProLeague” – a competitive tournament scene run by hardcore gamers from the Starcraft and Counter-Strike communities.
- For the ultimate test of dogfighting skills try 1-life Deathmatch or compete in Demolition for a more tactical, objective-based experience.
- Or enjoy classic game modes like Free For All and Team Deathmatch.

It plays like a flash game and it's free. A few competitive modes and one active server you can join for multi however you've to be at least lv 40... Gameplay wise it's not bad but lack of servers and players makes it hard to recommend but still it's possible to play with bots. If you like those type of games you might wanna look into Jet Lancer which offers supreme shooting action with small planes.

Imagine if a physics textbook and an arcade machine had a love child that grew up obsessed with dogfights, rockets, and pixelated mayhem—welcome to Altitude.
First off, let's talk physics. Or, more accurately, let's talk about how Altitude tosses physics out the window like it's got a vendetta against Sir Isaac Newton. Planes loop, dodge, and weave in ways that make you question every law of motion you learned in school. Who needs realism when you can pull off a mid-air U-turn that would make even Maverick from Top Gun break out in a sweat?
The game’s cast of planes is like a high school reunion where each attendee brought a different kind of chaos. You’ve got your bombers that drop explosive love notes, fighters that dart around like caffeinated squirrels, and then there’s that one guy who thinks ramming into things at high speed is a legitimate strategy (spoiler: it works).
Altitude takes you on a nostalgia trip with its retro 2D graphics, which are as charming as they are deceptively simple. But don't let those cute little sprites fool you—the learning curve here is steeper than your average airliner’s climb rate. You’ll start off thinking you’re the Red Baron, only to realize you’re more like the Red Balloon, floating helplessly as more seasoned players turn you into an explosion that would make Michael Bay jealous.
Speaking of explosions, the power-ups in this game are like Mario Kart's blue shells but on steroids. Ever wanted to see a plane shoot a homing missile, drop a cluster bomb, and activate a shield—all while doing a barrel roll? Of course, you did, because you're here to defy logic and embrace the chaos.
Multiplayer is where the game truly shines, and by "shines," I mean it’s where your self-esteem goes to die. The community is as tight-knit as they are deadly, but the banter is worth every crash and burn. One minute you're flying high, the next you're spiraling into the ground because someone decided to launch a missile straight into your exhaust pipe. But hey, that's the price of admission to the most intense aerial circus since the Wright brothers decided to take a leap of faith.
So, if you're ready to throw caution (and physics) to the wind, and you enjoy the kind of adrenaline-pumping action that leaves your palms sweaty and your heart racing faster than your internet connection can handle, Altitude is the game for you. Strap in, take off, and get ready to crash and laugh your way to victory—or at least to the nearest respawn point.

Simple, yet engaging arcade flight game, distantly similar to old Flash games in a good way.
Super fun if you play with friends.
Absolutely amazing if you play with friends AND some booze.
Pretty much dead if you play on public servers.

This game is very simple and fun, basically as long as the mouse operation can be, the mouse to launch bullets and props, the keyboard up and down keys to control the acceleration and deceleration. All in all it's a fun flying game.

Was $5 (USD) on SALE upon release, which seems like it was in 2009.
This was my record: 6 Sep, 2010 Altitude Purchase $4.99 USD
A lot of people played that weekend it was a lot of fun at the time because the game was sort of viral, but it died off pretty quickly.
I noticed it's now free which is probably best. It can be a couple of hours of fun as long as you have enough players.
It's a simple little arcade flying bomber game.

Arcade arena games but you play as planes. Things making sure you don't stall matter a lot in this game.
The multiplayer servers are basically dead (the game is +15 years old so that's not a surprise) but the bot support is pretty good

Very nice little game. Easy controls, challenging dogfights, different gamemodes, different planes, there is something for everyone. Small active community so you'll play bots mostly. When you find people online they're very nice, very mindfull, very demure.
