Overall 8/10. I'll admit, I only checked this game out because I liked Miside a lot and wanted to see what other things the developers have done.
Frankly, outside of one huge(but easily avoidable) glitch in the game, this game does everything very well!
Gameplay is managing several sets of various monsters from eating/killing you while trying to perform tasks. Some monsters are simple, like "fill up the generator with gas or the power will go out" and other monsters are more complicated. "Burn this randomly spawning tree guy before he spawns, or else he'll chase you slowly".
Something I really enjoy about Eco Hole is that all of the monsters(except a few) are extremely slow-moving, making a tense fear take over the player and adding a soft gradient to the fail-states in this game. You don't instantly die for making a mistake. The game is very clear when it tells you "do this thing or you're going to get a big monster chasing after you".
Gameplay for each level also comes with a "hint/mini-guide" system that I honestly kinda enjoy. It makes levels easier to understand from the get-go, it's optional to partake in(but very helpful) and it doesn't instantly give you the answers to some puzzles in the game(although most puzzles are pretty clear "put tab A into slot B and glue it together", doing the simple tasks while managing upwards of 3 to 5 monsters can get pretty grueling.
Even at full price, the game is worth the 2-3 hours you'll spend just doing the story mode. Playing through the game with a friend also takes about 2 hours, and is a different experience altogether.
Though technically at the full 10$, the price of the game is roughly 3$ per hour of gameplay, I still found it very worth it for the horror aspect of the game.
The story is basic, but it's not really meant to be a story-based game. About a 5/10 on story. It's average, but enjoyable. There's no big questions asked by the game and none are really needed.
That's the end of the review. I have more to talk about but the below tangent is just about what I would like for a sequel or follow-up.
_Spoilers ahead_
Honestly I kinda wish there was a follow-up to the game or some kind of extra DLC or story because the game introduces a few elements that I find intriguing. Namely The way that the main characters turn into monsters themselves, but still have their sanity after destroying the portal. I would like some kind of follow up on what happens to the world afterwards. How far spread was this disaster? How many people turned into monsters? Did people who were mindless monsters regain their sanity and realize/remember all the murders they've comitted and feel remorse from that?
There is an interesting nugget of an idea that, while already slightly explored in-game, I wish it was fostered into a sequel or some kind of followup story line. I respect the developers a lot as they only make content that they are interested in making and think they can make good/engaging, and in that line of thought, yeah. I can totally respect that.

This game is really fun if you have a friend to play it with.
It's got some pretty hilarious bugs that can happen but overall a great game.
(PS: Don't walk against the barrel by the lumber on the "Mother" stage)

This game is pretty good, Id mostly suggest snagging it on a sale tho as I have run into a few bugs with a friend from either it being certain OPTIONAL objectives not being able to be completed or getting stuck in the chimney at mothers lol.
All in all the game is a blast and still had my friend and I screaming, I think its a wonderful game and I hope the devs continue with their passion for games as I can see a lot of promise with them and will keep up.
