I don't know/care about PewDiePie but this was cheap so I figured I'd see how much merit it has as a 2D platformer.
The game was longer than I thought it would be and far exceeded my expectations. You could get more time out of the game if you work your way up the difficulties and seek out all of the collectables.
It's a fun, zany little ride and particularly challenging if you play on the "Bro" difficulty setting.
I'd recommend switching it to this setting after you finish the first level, though you will probably want to pump up your HP stat on a character immediately (I was almost maxed on that by the time I beat level 2).
There's almost certainly some Donkey Kong Land/Country influence (the barrels, the enemies in the credits, the cloud level).
This was a fun, short, frustrating, challenging ride that I recommend to long time fans of platformers.

Just like the good ol' days. Sometimes it's hard to believe where all these people are in the Present compared to the simpler times back then.

A pretty fun and accessible platformer with a charming pixel art style, catchy soundtrack, and responsive controls, it provides enjoyable gameplay for players of all levels. While it doesn't bring groundbreaking innovations to the genre, its humor and nostalgia make it a worthwhile experience.

gaming honestly peaked with this one, i don't think i've ever been as excited for a video game that wasn't a remake since this one dropped. they really don't make em like this anymore and you can honestly really tell, the gameplay is addictive, musical composition is timeless, sprite work is just pure eye candy, it all comes together to form a movie-like experience. its a shame people brush this off as a simple meme game, "residue of when every youtuber was trying to branch out into other mediums" because under all of that you have a timeless classic. thank you pewdiepie, very cool.
10/10, if you call yourself a gamer and you haven't played this one, you are a poser.

This game is surprisingly fun. Goofy and wacky, but all around good time!

This game is genuinely a fantastic platformer. it does have some iffy parts like the inclusion of Cryotic and the Jet Fighter level (the bane of my existance) but overall its a wonderful $15 platformer that controls amazingly and an amazing soundtrack courtesy of Rushjet1 <3

This game has no right being as good as it is. I, for some ungodly reason, would consider this my favorite 2D platformer of all time. Look past the comically horrendous voice acting and simple but admittedly fun story, and you'll find some great level design, masterful pixel art with a very wide array of enemy designs, and an excellent soundtrack to boot, one that I'll jam out to any day of the week.
The PC version specifically could do with some improvements, like the ability to map your controls yourself and a better way of navigating the overworld map, but I doubt we'll be seeing those improvements now of all times. Those two issues are by no means dealbreakers though, as the control scheme is simple anyway and navigating the map isn't an issue if you're not going to backtrack much.
Gameplay - 8/10 - Simple controls, quite easy to get the hang of, but quite engaging nonetheless. The level design is consistently great and each level feels wholly unique.
Visuals - 10/10 - The incredibly detailed pixel art is consistently incredible, making the backgrounds, foreground elements and enemies all a delight to see.
Soundtrack - 9/10 - While I love some tracks more than others, there's not a single one in here that I'd reasonably consider a total dud.
Difficulty - ?/10 - Depends on how you play, as there's 4 difficulty options for each level, spanning from easy as pie to dying in one hit in the hardest version of the level. At the easiest it's a 2/10, at it's hardest it's about an 8/10.
