Very nice and fun game, but I'm noticing right away the speed in earning achievements and this makes me assume that it has a rather low longevity.
It's a shame because for the money it's sold for, you would really expect a little more.
All in all it gets enough and the game is perfectly integrated with the graphics card's Camera and this allows you to capture excellent screenshots. My rating is 7/10 but get it on sale.

A fun game, especially for spooky season. If you're in the mood for something that plays like a game from the PS1 era with vibrant visuals and simple combat, give it a shot. It took over 5 hours to 100% the game.

Pumpkin Jack is a charming Halloween-themed 3D platformer. You play as Jack, a pumpkin-headed trickster, navigating levels filled with puzzles and combat. The gameplay is simple but fun, with smooth platforming and light hack-and-slash action. The cartoony, creepy visuals give off a playful, spooky vibe, and the humor adds personality. While the game is short and not too challenging, it's a fun, casual experience perfect for the Halloween season.

Spooktacular Triumph in Platforming Adventure!
Pumpkin Jack is an absolute delight and a breath of fresh air in the world of platforming adventures. Developed by Nicolas Meyssonnier, this Halloween-themed gem delivers an enchanting experience that is sure to capture the hearts of gamers young and old on the Steam platform.
From the moment you step into the hauntingly beautiful world of Pumpkin Jack, you're greeted with visuals that are both charming and atmospheric. The game's art style is a true standout, with vibrant colors and detailed environments that bring the spooky setting to life. Each level is uniquely crafted, showcasing Meyssonnier's dedication to creating a visually stunning and immersive experience.
The star of the show is undoubtedly our mischievous protagonist, Jack. With his charmingly eerie design and witty personality, Jack steals the spotlight and becomes an endearing character that players can't help but root for. The animation is smooth and expressive, adding an extra layer of personality to Jack's every move.
But Pumpkin Jack isn't just a treat for the eyes—it excels in gameplay as well. The platforming mechanics are tight and responsive, offering a perfect balance of challenge and accessibility. From thrilling chases to clever puzzles, each level introduces new and exciting gameplay elements that keep the adventure feeling fresh and engaging.
The level design is a true highlight, seamlessly blending diverse environments that range from eerie graveyards to spooky forests. The attention to detail is remarkable, and the inclusion of hidden secrets and collectibles encourages exploration, rewarding players for their curiosity.
Accompanying Jack on his spooky journey is a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack that sets the perfect tone for the adventure. The atmospheric music enhances the overall experience, creating an immersive soundscape that complements the game's theme.
Pumpkin Jack is more than just a Halloween-themed game; it's a masterfully crafted platformer that stands tall among its peers. Wonderful charm filled game for the Halloween season. Like Nightmare Before Christmas and MediEvil had a babby. Not perfect but worth a playthrough and impressive being made by one guy. Hope for a sequel!

Good little game, with beautiful visuals and a nice small variety of weapons for the easy gameplay it demands.
Every level is different and has its own style of theme visually and soundtrack wise, it has different enemies to fight and a cool little plot that is easily followed and unconventional. Personally best part of the game is its witty dialogues and especially the crow's comments.
Highly recommended, especially on discount since its around 4 hours long. Played it on the Steam Deck and it had a scaling issue where it would show the game in a minimized way, just change away from widescreen and it will be fixed. Other than that game runs flawlessly

Pumpkin Jack is an action platformer that has been described as MediEvil meets Jak and Daxter. This is somewhat true, if perhaps a bit misleading. The similarity to MediEvil is very surface level; really it's just the theming. Both games are comedic, however, MediEvil also takes itself seriously, while Pumpkin Jack does no such thing.
The Jak inspiration is more tangible with very clear inspiration in the puzzles and boss fight designs, as well as smaller gameplay elements such as rats spawning out of a nest that you must destroy. If, like me, you are desperately wishing for something that will scratch the itch for a new Jak and Daxter game, I don't think you'll get it here but I think you will find a great experience that is as close as we'll get outside of OpenGOAL mods. The final boss particularly feels like a really cool Jak boss that we never got and I just had such a good time playing this game.
It took me 7.1 hours to 100% with all achievements, so maybe get it on sale if you feel the price is steep but there's something to be said for a relatively simple but fun game on the shorter side that stays enjoyable all the way through. It makes for a great palette cleanser between bigger games. Would recommend to any fans of Jak but also plans of 3D platformers in general.
