It's a very good game for a Commandos nostalgic but I think some of the characters' special abilities aren't making any difference in game.
For eg: why are you having a sniper in your team but you can't use it in the most of the missions because you're suppose to go completely silent?
Other thing is that you can't see what is all about the mission ahead in order to chose your adequate squad members according to the mission's scope. I mean you're suppose to scout the territory before lunching a mission and then take specific people with you that are most suitable for the mission's demands. Many times I ended picking characters that I use them as carriers for supplies and actively play the mission with only 1 or 2 of the squad.
Overall the game was fun to play but by the half of it, it became a little bit boring to play and I couldn't wait to finish it faster. Definitely didn't sparkle my interest to start over in a different difficulty mode

Its a good Commandos-like game. Fun story is nice enough and the game play is fun. Its nice to kill Nazis.

Great game. Unique Characters. Got on sale 85% off, and it's well worth $5 I spent.
Story progression goes great, until about the final 3-4 missions, where you are stuck with only using 3 characters.
Build up all game is getting this group together, then final missions you can only use 3 of the 8 unique units you get through the game. Very poor thought process to this.
The camp building is lack luster over time, as it doesn't really add to value, I liked that it was basic, but eventually the XP from random off missions was too minor to level up Alternate characters, and even the main characters you pick didnt get much XP from the missions.
Missions that would level up alts, and make them potentially useful through the campaign would have been the right way to go.
Overall great game. Plan replaying it if you want unique experiences with different characters.
After Campaign, you get a Missions mode, which is nice. You get to try all the characters and build them out a bit for those missions.

Overall it's a fine game but I can't give it more than a 7/10
Good:
- It's fun' challenging but fun.
- You'll really have to use your brain, good
- You can approach things in many way
Bad:
- Stuffs' a bit janky
- UI and UX is a bit lackluster
- Despite its many keybinds, you can only configure like a half of them (you also don't know the other unconfigurable half, making keybinding conflict a certainty)
- Enviromental inconsistency. Some paths that seem traversible, and some fence that seem climbable aren't.
- Please add a skip dialogue option, you can only watch or skip the whole thing.
- Something's weird with save and load option when it come to enemies' positions.
- Randomness in camp operation is just annoying, it just encourage save scumming.
- Character's pathfinding are a bit weird. They seem to try to reach the designated position via the most dangerous pathway.

Partisans 1941 is an underrated gem for real-time tactics lovers.
Engaging story, great characters (each with unique abilities), and plenty of ways to approach missions — whether you love going full stealth or guns blazing. I personally went for stealth: quick kills, knives, and lots of mines. Super satisfying.
You'll need to think before acting — enemy patrols are sharp. Planning is everything.
I’d recommend it even to those new to the genre — it’s accessible, but still offers a solid challenge.
Minor bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking.
Pro tip: save a lot, especially before risky moves. You’ll thank me later.
Only downside? No Italian translation after 5 years. I’m Italian and I can manage English, but it’s a shame others might miss out for such a simple reason.
Definitely a 9/10: would sneak through the forest and knife a Nazi again ;)

TOP FUN THINGS TO DO:
⭐️ Different ways to tackle a level.
⭐️ Blowing up Nazis?
THE UNIQUES:
💎 A group of Partisans waging war on the Nazis.
PLAYER GAMING REQUIREMENTS:
💼 Strategy.
💼 WWII.
💼 Real Time Tactics.
PROS:
+ Good sized levels that can be tackled in multiple ways with different strategies such as stealth or going for a more direct approach.
+ A large variety of skills for each character, to fit your plan of strategy.
+Brilliant resource and inventory management adds to the tactical choice during gameplay.
CONS:
- The base building element felt a little pointless/shallow and doesn't add anything meaningful to the overall gameplay.
- Game performance has a lot to be desired considering the level of fidelity it offers.
VERDICT:
I've been on a bit of a mad run with unfamiliar games and this is another one, I liked my play through enough to come and give this a positive review, it's got faults but nothing to budge it from a thumbs up. If I had to give it a standout, it would be the tactical side, you can tell the devs took the time to give you various options for each mission and I took the approach the way I wanted, huge props for having the options.
Like I said earlier, there are a few faults with the game, I thought the story could've been more intriguing but i'm not going to bash on that too much since the game play was decent. A few bugs need ironing out but other than that, nothing really jumps out at me to knock it further down, I'd say it's worth the full asking price.
Total Score = 60100.
GAMEPLAY:
Players control a group of Soviet partisans during Operation Barbarossa, Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. The partisans start with poor equipment, limited to knives and rocks.
As they complete objectives, they can scavenge better equipment and gain more improvised tools and better weapons. The Nazi forces remain larger and better armed, so the partisans must still resort to stealth tactics, but they can survive brief engagements.
More partisans can be unlocked, each of whom has specialties. After missions, players must engage in resource management at the partisans' base.
