Are you ready to get sliced in half? The year is 2089 and a giant disc has appeared in orbit of Jupiter. Step into the oversized space suit of a brave scientist and explore this sprawling intergalactic slaughterhouse. Explore the expansive orbiting disc ship, moving room to room surviving and completing increasingly complex goals set forth. Use unlocked abilities to outmaneuver dozens of different disc types while solving mysterious puzzles. And remember: what kills you only makes you stronger. Disc Room is a collaboration between Kitty Calis, Jan Willem Nijman, Terri Vellmann and Doseone.

Fun and satisfying bullet hell game with a nice artstyle.

A really fun precision, bullet-dodging game.
It's well-designed, easy to pick up, and suited for both quick play and long grinding sessions. It is really hard, but intelligently so, as survival goals aren't insanely high. It's all about being extremely focused (and a bit lucky, as most spawns and a couple other things are random) for short periods of time.
Content-wise, it's both rich and poor. There's a very wide variety of discs with distinct behaviors, a decent amount of boss fights that spice things up quite a bit, and you get to discover new patterns pretty much every room you step into. So in that sense, the game never remotely feels boring or bland. On the other hand, it's quite short. You can expect to finish both Normal and Hard mode in 5 to 7 hours, up to 15 if you're really struggling I guess.
I don't recommend the game to you if :
- you're completely new to the genre. You'll probably find it brutally hard and equally frustrating due to the amount and unpredictable nature of discs.
- you have anger issues. Same reasoning here.
- you're not the kind of person that likes to set extra goals for themselves. As I said, the game is pretty short, and while it does offer a decent amount of extra challenges, they're all optional and mostly come unrewarded.
Basically, this game is all about challenge for the sake of it. There's a lot of replay value if you decide to try and beat all the (surprisingly good!) dev times, or decide to compete with an equally stupid a similarly-minded friend on the leaderboards, or simply to take up on every challenge the game offers you.
If that sounds to be up your alley, it probably is.

Too lazy to write a COMPLETE review, it's 3:34AM right now
Quick score : 9/10
Very fun bullet hell/puzzle/survival game, where your challenge is to survive through each rooms with set objectives to continue the adventure.
Die to a numerous amounts of discs and feel the frustration growing in you <3 (i was frustrated for only 2 rooms)
If the main challenge isn't enough, Hard Mode is here for you and rework all the rooms to make them harder (Faster discs, more discs etc)
IF THAT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH... Well, there are optional challenges you can take on!

If you want a more accessible bullet-hell title, then Disc Room could potentially be for you.
Disc Room throws you into tiny arenas with one goal, survive without touching anything pointy. It sounds simple, until the discs gain new abilities and throw you through the wringer. Then you gain new abilities to counter their abilities!
Some things to keep in mind:
- Disc patterns can be pretty RNG-y.
- This game has difficulty assist settings. If you're having trouble (especially on "Lobotomy", or with unlocking stuff), give them a try.
- The main game is rather short, roughly 2-3 hours. (perhaps less if you're very familiar with the genre)
- Use the slowdown ability in the East Zone. You'll thank me later.
- Wish to 200% the game? Hopefully you have a lot of patience.
- 300%??! uhhhh... good luck.

The core gameplay experience in Disc Room is highly enjoyable. It features a straightforward yet gratifying loop where you navigate razor discs, aiming to endure for as long as possible. The game introduces various elements to keep the levels engaging, and the objectives evolve consistently throughout each room. However, a drawback of Disc Room is its relatively short duration (around 5 hours). Additionally, the accuracy of disc hitboxes can be inconsistent, and success often hinges on the RNG of disc movement.
