Reminds me of the Classic Sonic games with a combination of jumping stages and open Runway Levels, the special zones of each world has its own setting. The movement of Running and jumping combined with Sword Movements feel natural. However a Continue Game Option would be useful for the more casual player. Now as for the Artwork it looks great, and Enemies are really interesting they have specific movement styles some being really simple and others will keep you at attention, Hit-boxes may be odd at times but any game where you can block projectiles with your weapon is just really cool to see. Story is pretty light, though it probably fits the genre that way. If you've ever wanted to see Mario or Sonic use a Sword in one of their classic games then, this is where the fun begins.

This game is pretty well done, the story for this game kinda light but it's there, though the game does better as far as I'm concerned when it comes to gameplay. The game lets you do a lot more when it comes to jumping and movement that feels really cool to me, or rather it makes me feel great when I manage to pull off more advanced jumps, I also like the combat I'm more partial to the jump attacks though since they look and feel the coolest. The enemies are cool, the bosses are pretty aggressive but not unbeatable, and there are also some puzzles or secrets hidden around the game, gonna see if they lead somewhere.
Overall I think it's a good game that's rewarding to learn with cool secrets. I'm coming back regularly to play for fun and discover more secrets. I'd definitely recommend trying this game out!

A fairly easy platform game that might remind you of classic adventure and platform games, it has several flaws that need to be improved, but it has a pretty solid gameplay and can keep you entertained for a couple of hours.

A great game with great potential. I love metroidvania style games, and this one is created in a format ready to entertain you for hours and hours and leave you eager for more updates.

Fun Game. If you want a Classic style 2D Platformer, this game is for you.
But beware, enemies can pop up out of nowhere, and if you're careless you'll end up crushed by a giant rock or buried in sand in a split second.
It can seem a little hard, but just like classic sidescrollers, is all about learning the levels and getting skilled with the controller :D

Gameplay is where The Asafo Journey shines. The movement feels smooth, combat and traversal are fun. The tombs offer engaging puzzles to solve and exploration to find treasure chests and switches. Probably my favourite thing is how the variety of movement options you have enhance the combat like allowing you to jump off enemies with a downward slash and using advanced techniques like turning around and backdashing to speed up your runs. I think the core gameplay is great, but it is held back by some lack of polish like getting stuck on objects and experiencing frame drops while playing at the time of writing.

This game actually reminds me of my childhood , i used to play similair games on my early gaming life and even though gaming has changed alote in the past few years this kinda of games still make me wana go back to the past.
the movement and sowrd dashing are awsome and the enemy difficulty is at a middle ground , it has many worlds with there unique art and music that allows for some really in-depth creativity, and the game is simply very satisfying to play.
+ The game is unique
+ The game is super satisfying to play
+ The price is affordable
- The game has a difficult learning curve.
