short, fairly basic lane defense game. You're just thrust into it without any instructions, but the simplicity makles it easy for new players to the genre, while those who have dabbled in it before will pick up how this offering works in no time. While mexhanically sound enough, there are a few gripes.
In total the game is ten stage. The only struggle hits in the earlier waves as the given fighters and those that unlock through the round are fairly weak with no option to upgrade their strength or defense. After a few levels, however, stronger characters become available, eventually all accessable at the start of the wave. In no time you wil have your attack plan executing with ease to the point theomly way enemies slip past you is via distractionm or the slow gold generation not giving you that one you need to whip out that five coin fighter that would have been handy.
Portal war (not a typo, the w is lowercaseon the store page at the time of writing this) does dialup thje tension a bit by not showing the healthof the opponent. You just have to rely on determination to reach the next stage. Or maybe rng. Some levels I satruggled with ended in victory faster than those that were a breeze.
Overall, Portal war plays well, but ends up easier than the most basic F2P or P2W tower defense mobile game. So short in fact that if you remove times I alt+tabbed out the whole thing took less than an hour. Given the full price being five dollars US, that'sd fifty cents per stage. Thankfully I grabbed it on sale for three dollars, but even that feels a little much for such a short, bare bones experience. I do recomend this game as it was mildly enjoyable and helped kill an hourof boredom. I do urge you to wait for a price drop or a better sale price than forty percent off like at launch as whatis here is far from that value.

quite funny tower/lane defense game, in pixelart style, though I would say it is expensive for what it is (outside of sales when it could be for less than 1€), considering its simplicity. Still it has several kinds of units/special powers that can be unlocked in new levels
