Endzone – A World Apart
The campaign begins with the fact that in 2021 terrorists began to massively undermine the power plants of the planet, plunging humanity into chaos. Escaped to the underground bunkers of the "endozone" for 150 years, he hid from a general catastrophe and finally decided to return to the surface. Lead a group of survivors in a harsh radioactive environment. The ever-changing climate, dirty and toxic rains and the enemy in the form of terrorist groups will force you to learn how to survive from scratch and prove that you are a real leader. You must build a shelter on a hostile surface. There are 30 different building types available for the convenience of your settlers. However, expansion will require a variety of resources and a well-planned economy. Develop efficient infrastructure, stock up on provisions, make your home comfortable for long stays.

I love this game! It's one of the more unique builder games I've played, and what I love most about it is that it pushed me to learn a different approach. Where many builders reward (or at least don't punish) early rapid expansion and over-production, Endzone demands a careful awareness of balancing what you have against what you absolutely need. If you over extend right out of the gate, you will rapidly find yourself unable to support even the most basic needs of your colony, and the dreaded death spiral will pull you down into oblivion. I know some players have disliked Endzone for that very reason, but to me, that's what makes Endzone so fun and so replayable. It's not just an apocalypse themed version of every other builder. I had to learn the intricacies of THIS game in order for my colonies to thrive. I've really enjoyed rising to this challenge.
Your colony will require a lot of micro-management. That's one of the aspects that draws me to builder games, so I really like it, but in case you don't...
I also highly recommend the scenarios. Although they are not called tutorials, they do teach important concepts like how to provide water even in lengthy droughts and things like that, super helpful to know when it comes to the free-play colony.

If you enjoyed Banished then this is for you. Endzone is better balanced, the housing AI works and its actually possible to hit a stable population. Can't say I prefer the dingy post apocalypse art style but thats not what i play this type of game for!
For those of you who didn't play Banished, Endzone is survival meets city builder/resource management game on the 'serious' end of the casual/hardcore gamer scale. Endzone is easy enough for a veteran of the genre, not too difficult for a sim/tycoon/city builder enthusiast but punishing for anyone new to this style of game.
If you are after a cozy sim style difficulty or afk play this is not for you - I add this as most of the negative reviews I've seen complain about difficulty/learning curve. The game will be challenging to most people but it is not the most difficult game of its type and i don't think its accurate to call it too hard, its just not a game style for everyone.
I enjoyed the scenarios however I feel they could of been a bit harder as only one was difficult enough that i didn't complete it first try. They could of been a little more variety there too if i'm totally honest.
All in all well worth a play if you already enjoy this style game

Very engaging strategy game in post-apocalyptic setting.
Frostpunk is probably the closest game I can think of that relates to Endzone, no surprise that I liked both titles a lot. Economy aspects seem perfectly balanced offering some breathing room while at the same time punishing for bad decisions and awarding for the good ones. Variety of scenarios to finish offer different challenges, I liked how in most of them we start with clear setting, since naturally you're almost doomed to make some bad decisions early on, before you learn deeper how core game mechanics work.
I've spent over 70 hours in this title, liked it so much that I bought the two main DLCs as well, no regrets in this regard either. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to strategy/management games fans like me, grabbing it in Humble Choice was a real steal. Looking forward to Endzone 2 when it goes out of EA.

The game is pretty good. I think a lot of these recent negative reviews are quite literally a skill issue.
As a city builder game, it's a good one.
My only complaints:
- Many of the buildings look very similar so it can be difficult to pinpoint the one you're looking for as you scale out and get a bigger community.
- The game doesn't do a good job of letting you know you're in a deficit of a certain resource. You can go to your stats page and see a chart that shows it, but it'd be nice if the game had a function to let you know you have x seasons worth of product, similar to how Frostpunk says it.

My kids gave this to me for Fathers day and I have to say I have been having a lot of fun with it. Its a basic city builder, nothing crazy, no action. You just guide your little people through a post apocolyptic expanse.
If you are not into city builders im not sure how much you will like it but it that kinda gameplay is your jam id reccommend picking it up.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I was Instantly hooked on this wonderful post-apocalyptic city builder. Pro Tip: do the tutorial first, there is no way in heck I would have known how to play the game otherwise. The music is sublime!

okay city builder.
it't not really a genre i'm generally playing so i didn't feel too engaged.
as far as i remember i have only enjoyed frostpunk in city builders genre.
the good:
tutorial is great. absolutely no need to read manual.
difficulty levels are good. i have chosen laid back easy mode and enjoyed the content.
game tries to reduce micro management with eliminating a need to interact with single worker.
expeditions are very good and forum tasks are good. research is nice. if not these 3 - i would give thumbs down rating.
scrap catcher building is good as it closes a hole with a single not regenerate able resource in the game - scrap. devs did it right to put in it the end of research chain.
the bad:
somehow despite all achievements both in game and steam it didn't feel like enjoying reaching meaningful goals.
after all expeditions done and ruins researched - map feels boring and purposeless. i just couldn't force myself to play a bit more just to get that 500 or 1000 number of some resource for steam achievement.
overall i do recommend on good discount.
