DEEMO -Reborn- is Rayark's classic game DEEMO. The fully 3D immersive journey will intoxicate you with the elegant sounds produced by you on the piano, as well as with the adventures you discover in this fairytale world. A girl who fell from the skies and lost her past; Deemo who plays the piano all alone in the world of the treehouse; an accidental encounter between the two. A Classic Reborn: Centered around an ancient castle and a mysterious tree that grows when melody is in the air, control the little girl who has fallen from the sky and help her find her way home.

This was THE game i always played during middle school up to high school and i replayed it many times and... the amount of love and nostalgia just playing dream for the first time after a few years from not hearing this game is just so breathtaking. I understand this game may NOT be the game it is like on mobile especially with some of the songs not being included in this game like "Reflection", "Wings of Piano", "Evolution Era" and some others, it is saddening and would hope maybe it would be included someday but that'll be okay. As this game is deeply embedded in my life and heart and I absolutely just love the story and how the songs are in this game. It has so much beauty and I would absolutely LOVE to just stay around the art of Deemo.
p.s - $25 is criminal (not including the dlc's) but i still love this game

Played DEEMO for the rhythm game, ended up for the story. Because DEEMO combines both a classic rhythm game with a charming story about a little girl lost in a strange dream-like world. I won't go into too much detail, but even though I rarely enjoy stories like that, DEEMO managed to keep my interest to the very end.
One of the reasons I was so engaged is the overall presentation of the game. The dream-like music-themed environments, mysterious characters, and fun, clever, but not too difficult puzzles. Even smaller things, like the pop-up book covers for all the songs. I was honestly fascinated all the way through.
The core rhythm gameplay is your standard six lane button play with several difficulty levels for dozens of available songs. DEEMO consists mostly of piano tracks, both calm and faster ones, but there are some electronic tracks as well. Really good selection, to the point I ended up listening to the game's soundtrack alone at times.
The other part of the game is the puzzle/adventure, where you control the girl through various locations, interact with the environment, solve puzzles often related to music, find secrets and such. It's a really nice blend of two genres which work surprisingly well, especially with the overall theme.
I would say DEEMO is a beautiful game as a whole. As an experience. It was calming at times, sometimes funny, mysterious and engaging during other parts. I strongly recommend checking it out if you're interested in rhythm games, adventure/puzzle games, or both.

Deemo is back, and it's as beautiful as ever.
If you enjoy rhythm games, the Deemo series is one to invest in. I'd originally only played the original release back in 2013, but this remake absolutely knocks it out of the park: 3D environments to explore, puzzles to solve, beautiful charm, and a stellar lineup of tracks. The game can be played entirely with just a keyboard, and input is responsive and quick. If you prefer, the game also allows for a VR experience. (Though, I'm not sure how this handles since I do not have a VR headset myself.) After fully completing the game's story and puzzles, I can say for certain that Rayark and co. have successfully re-captured that melodious lightning in a bottle. This series, and by extension, game, is one that every rhythm game-lover should have in their steam library.
The only other recommendation I'd give to those interested is to grab the bundle while it's on sale. There's a LOT of great tracks in the DLC section!
Other things to consider before purchase:
- There might be issues with crashing in cutscenes. This has only happened in the very first and last cutscenes, and it can be avoided entirely via skipping the scene. Just be wary and remember to save where applicable. Otherwise, the game runs fine.
- Some puzzles are not visibly apparent. If you want to 100% this game, you *might* need a guide for 1-2 of them.
- Speaking of 100%: There's a certain achievement that will ask a LOT of you. If you're looking to get every achievement on steam, buckle up and lock in - You're in for a challenge.
- If you played the original Deemo, you'll find that not all songs from the app made the jump to this title. There's still a great lineup like "Light Pollution", "Friction", and "Sairai", but you might find a few old favorites missing like "Reverse - Parallel Universe" and "Evolution Era". Speaking of which...

Those that are aware of this game, will have fun planting a brand new tree with your friendly slender man and smol girl once again! This game contains many songs, familiar Cytus songs and many more to bash on that majestic keyboard of yours. :}

Beat the game, and got all the achievements outside of the "play all songs" type stuff.
I love the mix of cozy puzzle solving and rhythm game. Big fan of the vibe. I heard the og was hand drawn and that would have been cool to see as an alternate play through offered in this but I thought the 3D animation looked nice enough.
The exploration controls are a little loose but isn't really a distraction. Puzzle difficulty isn't terrible given some are a bit of a stretch to figure out.
And then the main event. The music. Loved it all. If you are looking for a rhythm game with just such bangers and beauty in them, this is the one.
Relaxing/10 would play again

8/10. If you've seen the ending in the mobile game already, then this might hurt even more. There are more secrets and stories in this game, and to be honest, it brought tears to my eyes although I knew how the ending would go. the only con that it had was after the main story, the other puzzles were a bit easier to solve. But with more time, this opinion might change. Right now, I'm just waiting for the song Marigold to be added into Deemo: Reborn.
