I thought about challenging myself and leaving my comfort zone by playing a horror game. I have never really played one, and I have always stayed far away from horror stuff. I get scared very easily, and I don’t like the dark.
So it started with me picking up the demo of the Resident Evil 2 remake, and I played for 30 minutes before backing out when I reached the West Office. I thought I couldn't do this. The next day I was sitting there thinking, “No, I can beat this game!” and I went ahead to buy the full game.
And yeah, I really liked the game. I was scared a lot and had a lot of anxiety, and I sometimes had to force myself to continue playing, but I managed to finish the game, and I’m proud of myself for having done it.
If you're thinking about playing this game, go for it. It's really good! :D

Intrigued by Requiem so tried my first ever horror game and it didn't disappoint. Great balance between the two playable characters. Scared af but got used to it and enjoyed it very much. Always a plus for great optimization. The game runs well with RT.

"September 30th, 1998. It's a day I'll never forget. The cop inside me died that day. And the night, Raccoon City was wiped out, thanks to the bioweapons created by Umbrella. Somehow, I made it out. But too many others...weren't so lucky. I was "asked" later to join a top-secret government program. Not that I had a choice. The training, the punishing missions...nearly killed me, but at least they kept my mind off everything. If I could just forget what happened that night - the pain, even for a second? This time, it can be different. It has to."

Confession of a Newbie
I have never been particularly close to the Resident Evil game franchise. I watched all the movies with Milla Jovovich, but I’ve only heard something about the games somewhere, and they never really left a deep impression on me. The hype around the Resident Evil remaster passed me by because it didn’t evoke any nostalgia or positive emotions. As a result, my opinion about the game will be an honest reflection of its core without sugarcoating.
I would like to start with the positive aspects. What really surprised me was the unusual setting of the game. When I first launched RE 2, I thought it would be a game in the style of Dead Space, but how mistaken I was. Naively shooting all my bullets at useless zombies and thinking I no longer needed to conserve ammo because there were no enemies I couldn’t handle, I encountered him… Tyrant. At that moment, my gameplay turned upside down because now I was not the hunter — Mr. X became the hunter. He didn’t react to gunfire in the usual way; instead, he punished even the slightest delay with a brutal death animation. From that moment on, there’s no room for error when he appears — you can’t afford to waste time studying the map, because he’s always nearby. Even if you think you’ve hidden successfully, he mysteriously appears behind your back at the worst moment, scaring you out of your mind. Most likely, my gaming experience was influenced by the fact that I thought I’d be playing a different game — and how awesome that was!
I was definitely pleased with the nice graphics, engine physics, and storyline. But with all due respect, why is the game so short? I understand it’s just a remaster and that we have access to a second storyline, but I still wanted more. Surely those who bought the game at launch were left asking themselves: “Is that it? Was that all? What did I spend my money on?” However, I bought it at a big discount and can’t complain — for its price, it justified every euro spent. Perhaps those are all the cons. Overall, I highly recommend this game to everyone who hasn’t played it yet!
