Death Squared
Get together with a loved one, a group of friends or even the whole family and guide teams of two or four robots through increasingly-complex levels to their color-coded goals. But beware! The path through each level is littered with cunning death traps that quickly send the automatons to the big scrapyard in the sky. One false step can trigger a hidden spike, lethal laser beam or other dangers which will send the entire squad back to square one. To progress, players must work together to learn each stage through trial and error, putting newly-gained knowledge into action to survive and succeed. In addition to the two-player story mode, Death Squared includes insane 'party chaos' challenges specifically designed for groups of four. A single-player can also enjoy the traditionally two-player story mode, and two-players can tackle 'party chaos', by controlling two robots with one controller.

Yes, but barely.
Reasons you may not want to buy this game: 4 achievements are glitched with the developer saying they've moved on and won't fix. Glyphs show incorrectly randomly sometimes (ie. Playstation button icons while using an Xbox controller). Some of the "physics" and hit boxes of the cubes could use some work, they should have sanded down the rough edges, specifically because it's a puzzle game where precise movements matter.
If you can live with all that, it's a fun little puzzle game. The 'story' / narration is a complete rip on Portal and isn't nearly as funny. But the puzzles are challenging enough, though there's 80 '2-player' puzzles and only 40 '4-player' puzzles. For context, I played the whole thing solo with one Xbox controller and my keyboard. Yes, it's possible, and quite fun. The game encourages co-op though but there's no online capabilities so you'll have to find real friends.
The 2-player puzzles got relatively boring quickly; I'd say by level 30 I was about done. But switching to the 4-player puzzles revitalized the game for me! They were way more interesting and more fun, not really more challenging but just better. Made me enjoy the game enough to go back to the 2-player levels and finish them. That wasn't worth it but oh well.
For a decent sale price I'd say go for it if you like puzzle games and mediocre copied comedic material.

Awesome co-op puzzle game. Thoroughly enjoy playing this with my fiance and friends. Some of the puzzles really make you use your brain and communicate with your partner. Very satisfying to complete each level, no matter how many times you die in the process. Eagerly looking forward to new content - I would gladly buy DLC for this game. One of the best couch puzzle games I have played.

it's one of my all time favorite games and I'd like to just tell you all mac users - this game is running on my M1 macbook with latests MacOS Sequia, even though the steam page is convinced it's not gonna work. It works beautifully!
All levels can be played with a friend or 3, or by youself, and some of them are really hard - excellent brain practice! I love seeing how smart my different friends are by testing them how they play this game with me!

Pretty dope little puzzle game. Unfortunately, doesn't get as insanely difficult as other puzzle games but great nonetheless. One complaint I have is that I wish I could play party mode by myself but the game requires 2 devices be attached and all my dualshock controllers broke because they're cheaply made trash.

Death Squared is a fun co-op puzzle game where each player controls a cube. Great for party game night or just with a couple friends or family. I like the sci-fi aesthetic of the game as well as the voiceover.

My most favourite indie puzzle game (and I did not even finish it yet). Coop is super fun both Story & party mode. In party mode with controller + keyboard you control 4 cubes (each player controls 2), you can play with remote play as long as one of you owns a controllers. Lots of levels pretty challenging, and of course the cause of most deaths is that you forget which stick controls which cube and you either fall off the platform or burn yourself with laser :D

For anyone who loves local co-op with friends, this one is a blast. Doesn't even matter if your friends play games - they will get the hang of it. Easy recommend
