Ever Seen A Cat? 2 brings back the same fuzzy charm and feline hide-and-seek formula as the first game, but with slightly easier levels and smoother zoom. With around 30 cats per level across 9 levels, you’ll spend about 10 minutes breezing through your first run and roughly 34 minutes total to 100% the achievements. Cats change places between sessions, so repeated playthroughs aren’t exactly the same, but they do feel repetitive.
The adorable art style returns in full force, along with fun, upbeat music and several customization options like color vibrance and movement sensitivity. The zoom is slightly better than the first game, which helps, especially when the cats blend into the details. And yes, every cat still looks like a cat, thankfully.
However, it’s not all purrs and cuddles. Cat placement is extremely easy, levels are super short (still between 30 seconds to 2 minutes each), and the hints again give away exact locations instead of a general area. There’s also a minor annoyance with progress loss: exiting to the level select menu resets your current level because no matter the level selected you receive a pop-up about progress erasure, which feels clunky even if the time loss is minimal. All that said, it’s still a wholesome and relaxing experience, just a bit less engaging than its predecessor.

Version 2 of a Nice and Cheap Hidden Cats Game
What this game is: A hidden cats game, like so many others found on Steam. This game is visibly the continuation of Ever Seen a Cat, mostly its duplicate.
How does it work? It is a basic point and click game. You have to find all the cats hidden in a big monochrome picture. Once you've found all of these, you can go on to the next picture.
How does it perform? Very easy to play. You click on each cat you find to reveal it. Many cats are easy to find, but the colour of some monochrome backgrounds may make finding the cats more difficult.
The good points: Simple and generally relaxing game. Getting the Achievements is quite easy. No apparent bugs. Takes less than 80 MBs on your HD, and will run on a 10 years old PC. You can expect an hour and a half of entertainement out of it depending on the speed with which you are playing (70 to 100 minutes of play). There are good controls allowing you to play with the settings. The music is OK. There are Steam Trading Cards.
The bad points: It is a basic hidden animals/objects game, so playing is very linear and repetitive. There is not much replayability here. In order to get the Achievements and make you play longer, the devs have looped the game so you will have to play the same setups a few times. It is almost the same as the original game Ever Seen A Cat.
My take on this: If you like a relatively cheap and relaxing games, this is it. The price is low, but I would recommend buying it when for sale. You will get an hour and a half of gaming out of it at best.

finished this one as well just like the first game, they're almost the same but this one's way more easier in my opinion and i even managed to complete almost every single level in the game under 1 minute except the blue map one

Ever Seen A Cat? 2 is a gentle, whimsical hidden-object game that builds on the simplicity and charm of its predecessor while expanding the scale and replay value of its core idea. Rather than adding complexity or dramatic new mechanics, the sequel refines what worked before: finding cats hidden within lovingly illustrated scenes. From the moment you open the first level, it becomes clear that the game’s appeal lies in its atmosphere. Each environment is laid out like a cozy postcard—bright, hand-drawn, and filled with tiny details that invite slow exploration. There is no story to follow and no pressure to move quickly; instead, the game offers a relaxing space where your only task is to look closely and enjoy the quiet satisfaction of spotting cats cleverly tucked into corners, shadows, and patterns.
The gameplay is straightforward but surprisingly engaging. Each scene contains a set number of cats, and your goal is simply to find them all. The challenge arises not from trickery but from the clever way each cat blends into its surroundings. A curled tail might mimic a vine, a pair of ears might be hidden among rocks, or a silhouette might align perfectly with background objects. Because the placements are partially randomized on each playthrough, returning to a level doesn’t feel like repeating a solved puzzle. This element of unpredictability keeps the experience fresh and makes the game well-suited for short, repeated sessions. Tools like a hint button exist for players who get stuck, though the satisfaction comes from spotting the subtle visual cues without assistance.
The art direction is, without question, the star of the experience. Each of the nine environments is visually distinct, using a combination of soft colors, clean lines, and a slightly playful aesthetic that strikes the right balance between clarity and detail. The illustrations are filled with a warm, handcrafted feel that conveys personality without overwhelming the core task. Cats are drawn in a variety of poses and styles, ranging from simple silhouettes to playful shapes that blend seamlessly into the environment. Sound design complements the visuals with gentle, unobtrusive audio—soft music, light effects, and quiet ambience that promote a relaxed mindset. Everything about the presentation is designed to put the player at ease.
Though charming, the game’s narrow focus also defines its limitations. Because all of the gameplay revolves around finding hidden cats, players looking for puzzle variety, narrative progression, or additional mechanics may find the experience too simple or repetitive over long stretches. The game is best enjoyed in short bursts rather than marathon sessions. Some players may also find the hint system overly direct, revealing a solution rather than guiding the player toward it gradually. These minor shortcomings don’t undermine the game’s strengths, but they do establish it firmly as a niche title meant for a specific kind of play experience.
Ever Seen A Cat? 2 works precisely because it understands that niche. It offers a soothing, accessible activity that appeals to all ages, whether you’re a casual gamer, a hidden-object enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys cute art and gentle challenges. The combination of randomized placement, charming illustrations, and straightforward design ensures that the game remains enjoyable even after multiple sessions. It is not designed to surprise or challenge players deeply, but rather to provide a comforting, low-pressure way to spend a few minutes or half an hour.
In the end, Ever Seen A Cat? 2 is a delightful example of a game that embraces simplicity and executes it with care. It knows exactly what it wants to be—relaxing, cozy, visually appealing—and it succeeds by delivering that experience without unnecessary complications. For players who find joy in careful observation, soft aesthetics, and the small triumph of spotting a cleverly hidden cat, this sequel offers a warm and engaging way to unwind.

Fun but way too easy but at the price that I paid for (on sale), I think it's fair.
Le fun, mais bien trop facile. Mais pour le prix que j'ai payé pour (en spécial), je trouve que ça du sens.
