This is hands down one of the most addicting puzzle games out there. And for 20$ (sometimes 4 dollars on a sale), it's more than worth it.

I may suck at both Tetris and Puyo Puyo, but that won't stop me from appreciating every other aspect of the game from artstyle, to music, to the comedy that is the campaign's story and its characters.

This game literally has Satan (yes, THAT satan) meet an anime girl.
Too bad they changed his name to "Dark Prince" for the English translation.
Oh yea, it's a pretty good puzzle game, and I'm cracked at Big Bang mode (if I pick Tetris).

the puyo puyo tetris series is my favorite game series of ALL TIME. it helped me discover my passion for puzzle games of all kinds and i have fond memories of growing up with puyo puyo! my first exposure to puyo was in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX on 3DS (also my first miku game) with puyo puyo 39, and it only made this game even more enjoyable to me!
the game modes are excellent fun and ive spent probably days in total playing against friends, and the story is genuinely entertaining as well. the voice acting is so well done and high quality (bonus points for Max Mittelman voicing Tee in english, i may be biased) and some of the lines make me laugh so hard my gut hurts after. the music is absolutely fantastic as well, much of it gets stuck in my head. and most of all i absolutely love the artstyle, it really is in a unique league of its own as well as the music. i own this game (and its sequel) on multiple platforms and it just goes to show how much i LOVE this series. i want Sega to bring more puyo to the west so badly because ive fallen in love with the game, its characters and all of its quirks!!!
i wasn't too familiar with tetris at all when i first played this game, but its become one of my favorite game modes over time. tetris is a timeless game and format, and matching it with puyo puyo is like destiny, absolutely meant to happen.
my genuine only qualm is that this game, as well as ppt2, has some serious problems with chain animations slowing the game speed down when playing online multiplayer. i've never had this problem on other platforms, but on pc the only way to really remedy it is to turn off chain animations when playing online AND playing it in fullscreen instead of windowed fullscreen. this game is not resource hungry in the slightest which is why i find it particularly strange that it does this? but otherwise zero problems. i love this game to death and i am excited to see more puyo puyo in north america!!!
tl;dr, BUY THIS GAME AND PLAY IT. everything about it is fantastic visually and audibly, and the gameplay and story is genuinely so engaging and exciting. there is clear passion put into everything about this series and i think everybody should play it at least once.
